Lee and Xander were facing each other. He found himself suddenly thinking back to their time together in high school. After kissing Meg on the cheeks, Lee became so enraged that he attacked Xander with punches and kicks. But when Lee found out how things really stood between Meg and him, he felt compelled to apologize.
"Sorry. The feelings I have for Meagan are beyond words. I wanted her to be my girlfriend and spend the rest of my life with me." Lee explained when Xander went to see Meg in the hospital.
Meg and Lee were the only ones who knew that Xander had left the country and dropped out of school.
"So, have you tied the knot yet?" Lee interrupted his train of thought with a question while he was carrying his twins. Xander gave a slight shake of the head.
"Are you a bachelor even now?" He added.
"Really?" After hearing it Meg returned to the living room while wearing the apron. She is now the ideal of a good housewife, Xander thought.
"Sophia is also single." Lee continued.
Xander was taken aback when Lee revealed that Sophia was also without a partner. He suddenly got confused. How can she still be single at the age of twenty-seven? She was beautiful and surrounded by many boys when they were in high school.
"She is currently employed by Louver Home Design and Décor as Interior Designer." Lee began to disclose various pieces of information. "Surprise?" he continued, cracking a grin.
"Yes." Xander nodded.
"I believe she is still looking for someone to come into her life." He was speechless after realizing the significance of what Lee had said.
"This is what she handed to me, so here it is. Why don't you stop by and see her sometime?" Lee extends a calling card to him and makes a suggestion.
Xander was suddenly overcome with confusion. At age twenty-seven, it seems impossible that she has not yet found a partner. When they were in high school, she was stunning and attracted the attention of a large number of male students.
"I don't understand." He thought more, still bewildered.
"Hey! You must have been very surprised by the news!" Meg uttered those words as they were sitting at the table having lunch together. Xander just smiled.
"She informed me that her schedule consisted of the standard office hours." Lee had additional information.
"Xander, visit her!" Meg's voice carries an authoritative tone. "Don't you want to get married? You're thirty years old now, the same as us. Right?" Lee asked, sneering.
"You are two years older than I am." Meg corrected.
"This couple had great chemistry, which is one of the reasons I find it easy to root for them both," Xander repeated the phrase to himself before breaking into another smile.
"Hey, quit flirting with women already! You should know that I detest it! Do you aspire to have the same kind of fun as this playboy?" Meg turned on her husband.
"I am not! And I never did! Remember that it was solely because I want to get your attention?" Lee's defensive stance was the source of Xander's amusement.
After spending the afternoon having fun with the kids, it was somewhere around that time. Xander made the decision to leave because he thought it would be best to see Sophia.
"Where would you like me to take you, sir?" The driver posed the question as he got into the vehicle.
"Please bring me to this location." Xander gave the calling card to him.
Xander was having a cappuccino and reading a book when he heard someone yelling at the table next to him in the coffee shop in front of the building.
"A lover's quarrel." He entertained the thought, but he couldn't care less in all candor! It's just that he heard something that piqued his interest.
"Sophia, you had better put that Xander of yours out of your mind!" The guy yelled out loud.
He gives them a quick glance and is taken aback to see that it is actually her, Sophia. The words infiltrate his mind to such a degree that he is unable to take in any additional information.
When Sophia left her table at the coffee shop, Xander immediately followed behind her.
"Sir, will we be leaving soon?" The driver asks Xander as he stands. He saw Sophia riding in her car.
"Yes, kindly keep your distance from that car." Xander gave instructions to the driver.
Xander was concerned about her because of her excessive speed. But then she stopped for a moment at the side street and waited there. He was perplexed by what had just taken place. And then she drove again and went into a bar. Because she was by herself, Xander decided to sit behind her and observe her. Sophia had consumed a lot of alcohol, probably was utterly out of her mind now, as she was dancing wildly. Even though it was clear that she was intoxicated, she continued to fill up her glasses.
"What's up, Missy? Why are you going out to drink by yourself?!" She was surrounded by three males who came up to talk to her. Xander got worried but stop as he saw her accept the guy's invitation..
"Why don't we get up and dance?" While the other one was pulling her onto the stage.
(Nelly's song – "It's getting hot in here")
The roof is on fire...
It's getting hot in here, so hot, so take off all your clothes.
I am getting so hot; I want to take my clothes off.
Because the song was so groovy and danceable, Sophia moved her body uncontrollably. She was making a fool of herself by dancing. WILDLY DANCING! The next thing she knew, the guy was now kissing her. She didn't know what had just happened. She was craning her neck to get a better look at him.
"Hey, that's pretty sweet!" The other guy yelled and went up to the stage with another glass of liquor in his hand to give to her. There was never a moment when Sophia considered hesitating. She was in such a state of intoxication that she drank it endlessly.
Then, she overheard them cheering and clapping their hands because they were having a good time. However, the other guy grabs her waist from the first guy, pulling her closer to himself in the process. He lavishly soothed her butt, which awoke her senses and caused her to push the guy to his limits.
"What in the name of God am I doing?" She was taken aback and should have fled, but the guy grabbed her wrist tightly and pulled her toward him so they could kiss.
"I hate this view?!" Xander's teeth were clenched as he was witnessing all of it. "Is she still acting like she did when we were in high school, fooling around with boys like this?! This is completely insane; I shouldn't be here." He was about to leave when he heard her shout.
