"Why do we have a lifeless body lying around here?"
Micah's breath gets stuck in her chest at the queen's words. From all the chaos that fiddles here, she has completely forgotten about Erin. And now as she stares at the lifeless body of Erin sprawled on the marble floor with blood everywhere, Micah feels nauseous.
An ugly feeling keeps spreading in her veins and makes her dizzy. She was so occupied by the injury of Severo that she hasn't even thrown a glance at Erin's side.
The sudden realization of Severo being the reason for her death leaves a bitter taste in Micah's mouth. Erin wasn't a better person, Micah knows that and she admits. But does she have to be killed like that? Does she have to be paying her life for the sins she committed?
Micah isn't sure what to feel about it. But one thing she knows, all the devotion and desire that she felt toward Seveo is oozing out like the sand in an hourglass.
