Chapter 4 - The Shadowy Figure: Reizo's Reputation and the Rumors that Surround Him

Yuna's lunch break was spent with her five friends: Saki, Hikari, Yumi, Kaori, and Kiyara. They were discussing the tension that happened earlier between Reizo and Akira. Yuna revealed to her friends that when the quiz started, Reizo had told her, "Don't get in my way." Her friends were shocked to hear this, and Kaori and Kiyara defended Reizo by saying that he was just a competitive student who preferred being a loner. Yumi added that there was a rumor about Reizo having a dark past that made him cold and emotionless. Hiraki added another rumor that Reizo had been bullied and depressed. Yuna's friends dismissed these rumors as just rumors and not necessarily true.

Akira entered the canteen with her partner, Alexandra. The girls gathered around Akira, and Yuna's friends pushed her to tell them how she felt about Akira. However, Yuna was hesitant, especially after what Akira had done to Reizo. Akira approached Yuna and asked her to be her second girlfriend, but Yuna was still hesitant. She saw Reizo buying lunch and decided to go to him. She held his hand, and Akira was devastated. Akira said, "You... Reizo...." Reizo replied, "Being a cold person." He then finished buying his food and planned to eat at the rooftop. Yuna wanted to come along, and Reizo reluctantly agreed.

At the rooftop, Reizo ate while Yuna watched him. Yuna asked why Reizo was a loner and cold, but Reizo didn't answer. After eating, he stood up and looked at the students playing in the playground from the rooftop. He explained that he felt a sense of superiority when he looked at them, considering them as mere peasants scurrying about in their mundane lives. He felt that he had the power to shape his destiny and transcend the limitations of his mortal flesh. He considered himself a being of untold power and potential, destined for greatness beyond their feeble comprehension. He saw humans as insignificant creatures, unworthy of his attention or respect. As he looked down upon them from his lofty perch, he knew that he would never stoop to their level, for he was far too superior to even consider it.

Yuna was shocked to hear Reizo's explanation. Reizo added that loneliness was just the way to his success. Before Yuna could reply, he left to the rooftop, vanishing like a cold and ghost person.
