"The High School Matchmaker" is a story that follows the story of Reizo Hiraga, a high school student at the prestigious Seiran Academy. Reizo is a brilliant student who is known for his good looks but has always been a loner due to his cold and aloof personality. However, his biggest challenge awaits him in Class 3A, where they will be having a Matchmaker Program. The program pairs students randomly, and they have to act as a married couple and be graded as one until graduation. Reizo is paired with Yuna Sakamoto, a beautiful and popular girl who had always had a crush on Akira Shirogane, the school's most popular guy. Yuna tries to break the ice with Reizo, but he remains distant and uninterested. As they start to spend more time together, Yuna tries to understand Reizo better, but he keeps his past to himself. During a long quiz, Reizo impresses Yuna with his intelligence, but she feels like a burden to him. Later, they encounter Akira, who is jealous of Reizo's intelligence and warns him of his impending downfall. The story explores the difficulties of being forced to get along with someone you don't like and the struggle to reveal one's true self.
