The air temperature felt as though it was dropping the moment their eyes met. The friends, who didn't know how to define their relationship at that moment, looked at each other awkwardly.
"Your meeting seemed to be long…" Noah broke the silence with an awkward statement.
Elijah nodded slightly, "Well... I am a CEO too..."
"Ah, come on, you know that is not what I mean…" Noah explained himself.
"Just cut it short, what do you want?" Elijah's tone sounded a bit harsh.
Noah was silent for a few seconds, startled by Elijah's straightforwardness. He then nodded before opening his mouth, "Well... I'm sorry to disturb you... it's just..." He took a moment to swallow, "Do you remember the time when I asked you to submit an envelope of documents to the head of the bureau of marriage registration?" He rubbed his fingers, slightly anxious.
