"Where to, sir?" Matthew looked at the rearview mirror, waiting for Noah's response. He could see Noah staring blankly outside, lost in his thoughts. "Sir…"
"Let's go to the bureau office. I can't wait for him," Noah said, feeling anxious. He hadn't been able to contact Mr. Simpson since last night when he arrived back in the city. Before leaving, Mr. Simpson had promised to reveal the truth about his marriage registration with Sarah a few years ago, but now he had suddenly gone missing, and Noah couldn't get in touch with him.
As they arrived at the bureau office, they headed straight to the department for marriage and divorce. Noah stopped at the counter, "I need to meet with Mr. Simpson urgently, please…" he said, taking a breath as they had been rushing since they got out of the car.
"Do you have an appointment with him today, sir?" The staff at the counter asked, following their usual procedure.
