Chereads / The Marriage Deal With Mr. Red Flag / Chapter 7 - She Was Drugged

Chapter 7 - She Was Drugged

The ring bell that had been rang several times woke Sarah from her sleep. Looking through the peephole, she saw Weyna was standing outside. She glanced back to the clock that was hanging up on the wall and saw it was almost 8 pm.

"Sleeping?" Weyna asked the moment Sarah opened the door. "Ah come on. We need to celebrate you getting a job. My mom even let me go earlier after hearing you got a job." She pushed Sarah back inside. "Hurry, take a bath. We are going to a club!" Weyna was excited, dancing to non existence music.

Sarah rubbed her eyes and nodded, still a bit groggy from her nap. "Okay, okay. Just give me a minute to get ready," she said, closing the door behind Weyna.

As she got dressed, she couldn't help but feel a little nervous. She had never been to a club before, and she wasn't sure if she would fit in. But she didn't want to disappoint Weyna, who had been so excited about celebrating her new job.

"What kind of dress is that?" Weyna frowned as she looked at Sarah up and down.

Sarah looked at her dress that she's downing. It was a long straight flowery dress that went down below her knees. "Why? I have this kind of dress only. You know that."

"Babe…we are going to a club. C L U B, club." Weyna spelt the word out to explain that her dress was not suitable at all.

Sarah's face fell as she realised her mistake. "Oh, I've never been to a club before, you know that," she admitted, feeling embarrassed.

Weyna sighed, putting a hand on Sarah's shoulder. "It's okay, girl. I've got you covered. I brought an extra dress just in case." She pulled out a tight-fitting, sparkly black dress from her bag and handed it to Sarah. "Here, put this on. You'll look amazing."

The moment Sarah look at the dress carefully, her face turned red, "Err…I don't think this dress fits me…"

"Who says? I'm sure you would look stunning in this." Weyna put the dress in front of Sarah, "See…try it on first."

She had always been self-conscious about her body, and the thought of showing so much skin made her feel even more nervous.

Sarah hesitated for a moment, but then she decided to trust Weyna's fashion sense. She quickly changed into the new dress and looked at herself in the mirror. She walked out of the room and showed herself to Weyna.

"I don't know, Weyna. Maybe this isn't such a good idea," Sarah said, tugging at the hem of the dress.

"Nonsense, you look great!" Weyna exclaimed, pulling Sarah towards the door. "Trust me, you're going to have a great time. Just let loose and have fun."

Reluctantly, Sarah followed Weyna out the door and into the night.

As they walked towards the club, Sarah couldn't help but feel like all eyes were on her. She tried to hide behind Weyna's confident stride, but she still felt exposed and vulnerable in the revealing dress.

"Let's enjoy our night!" Weyna exclaimed as they entered the club. The music was so loud that it felt like the ground was shaking beneath them. Sarah's heart pounded in her chest, and she felt dizzy from the flashing lights and the crowd of people dancing around them. She tried to keep up with Weyna, but she stumbled over her own feet.

Seeing Sarah's awkwardness, Weyna dragged her to the bar and ordered two drinks without asking what Sarah wanted. She handed one to Sarah and clinked her glass against hers. "Cheers to your new job, girl! Let's dance our worries away!"

From Sarah's right, there were three men who had been talking while looking at her. They seemed to bet on something and suddenly one man from the group stood up and approached both of them.

"Hi…" He said, leaning to the bar.

The man introduced himself as Jason and Weyna got engaged with a conversation with him. Feeling left out, Sarah looked on the dance floor. At that time, the man glanced at the bartender and nodded before the bartender offered Sarah a cocktail for free.

"But I didn't order this," she refused as the drink that Weyna ordered just now was still not finished.

"It's on the house," the bartender replied with a smile.

"Thank you," Sarah said as she took a sip. She turned around and realised Weyna was no longer with her. Squinting her eyes, she looked towards the dance floor and saw Weyna dancing with Jason.

Feeling a little lonely, Sarah drank the entire cocktail that the bartender had given her. As she did, she didn't noticed the two men on her right watching her every move. It was as if they were waiting for something to kick in.

Sarah suddenly felt so dizzy. She held onto the bar and tried her best to open her eyes. Afraid, she turned trying to reach for Weyna but stumbled down as her vision started to get blurry.

The two men smiled and immediately walked towards Sarah.

"Are you okay? Let me help." Both of them took Sarah's hands and pulled her up.

"No no…" Sarah refused and tried to stay conscious, "I am okay…"

"Are you sure? We can help by sending you home." One of the men smirked while saying those words.

Sarah tried to pull her hand back, but the men's grip was strong. Her head was spinning, and she struggled to form coherent thoughts. She knew something was wrong, but she couldn't quite figure out what.

"I just need to find my friend," Sarah mumbled, trying to break free from their grasp. But the men only held on tighter.

"Your friend is fine. She's dancing with our friend, Jason," one of them said, pointing towards the dance floor. "Don't worry, we'll take care of you."

Sarah's instincts were telling her to run, but her body wouldn't cooperate. She felt trapped and helpless.

"Is there something wrong?"

A familiar voice reached Sarah's ears. The hand of one of the men suddenly removed from her body and Sarah suddenly felt a strong arm around her waist holding her up.

"Is everything alright here?" Noah asked, looking at the two men with a stern expression.

The two men looked at each other, and one of them spoke up, "Yeah, everything is fine. We were just helping her. She looks like she's had a bit too much to drink."

Noah looked at Sarah, who was still trying to steady herself. He could tell something wasn't right. "I'll take it from here," he said firmly to the two men.

The men turned to face Noah, sizing him up. "Woah woah woah, not that easy man. We worked it out and you easily took her from us?" one of them said, trying to push Noah away.

"Remove your hand from her, now." Noah cold eyes were threatening them.

"Find your own fish man…" The man was still not giving up and trying to pull Sarah from Noah.

Noah took the man's hand and tightened his grip on his arm. "She is not a fish, she is my girlfriend!"

The other man scoffed, "And who would believe that?"

Sarah frowning, the dizziness she felt right now was hurting her head. She held tight onto the body that was supporting hers. Lifting her chin she could see a familiar face. Smiling unconsciously, she uttered his name, "Noah…" She did mention Mr. at the front, but it was not clear as she mumbled the word.

Noah turned to Sarah, his expression softening. "Yes honey. Are you okay?" he asked, gently placing his hand on her cheek.

Sarah nodded weakly, leaning into his touch for support.

Noah turned back to the two men, his voice low and dangerous. "I suggest you leave now, before things get ugly."

The men hesitated for a moment, but then released their grip on Sarah and backed away, muttering under their breath. Noah watched them leave, making sure they were gone before turning back to Sarah.

"Let's get you out of here," he said, putting his arm around her waist to steady her.
