The family of three stood together at the entrance of the daycare centre. Aurora's face was radiating with happiness, her eyes sparkling and her lips adorned with a constant smile since she woke up that morning.
"Let's go," Aurora exclaimed, holding the hands of both Sarah and Noah. Walking in the middle, she led the way towards the main door of the daycare.
Suddenly, Aurora waved her hand excitedly at someone across the room and rushed towards a corner, leaving Noah and Sarah puzzled. She grabbed the hand of a cute little girl with shoulder-length hair and brought her back after a few minutes.
"Ari, meet my dad," Aurora introduced Noah to her closest friend at the daycare, Arianna.
Sarah was taken aback, her breath catching in her throat upon hearing Aurora's words. "Dad?" she whispered, the word slipping out unintentionally.
