Chapter 18 - Song Chichi's Little Uncle

"Have you forgotten?" Tang Yandong looked at him closely.

Tang Yannan glanced away guiltily. "No… I didn't."

Zheng Min lowered her head and listened to the conversation between the two brothers. She was alarmed.

Was Tang Yandong complaining for Tang Wei?

"Minmin, today is your birthday, so Big Brother bought you your favorite piano. Go and take a look."

"You only bought a gift for Minmin and not Little Wei?" Tang Yannan said immediately.

"!"

Zheng Min thought to herself. It seemed that she was worrying too much after hearing her second brother's words. Her eldest brother didn't even buy a gift for Tang Wei.

She looked up innocently. "Big Brother, you should've bought Sister Wei a present, too."

"I didn't have time to buy it," said Tang Yandong impatiently.

Zheng Min pursed her lips. She had to hold back her laugh at this moment.

"Big Brother is clearly biased toward you," Tang Yannan whispered in her ear.

Zheng Min looked at him disapprovingly, but in fact, she was laughing inside. She indeed was worrying over nothing earlier.

"Aunt Yan, I've prepared a gift for you too. You and Minmin should go and take a look." Tang Yandong said.

Zheng Yanyan was overjoyed when she heard that. She couldn't hide the smile on her face. "Come, Minmin, let's go take a look. Your Uncle Huo and Little Xi will also be here later."

However, Zheng Min felt that her mother was being too obvious. It was evident that she really wanted a gift. Although she was also looking forward to what brand of piano it was, no matter how much she wanted it, she couldn't show it. She had to talk to her mother about this later.

The two of them went to another big room. From now on, they will be living here. Thinking about staying in A City forever and getting to know more wealthy people, they couldn't help but feel excited.

After the two of them left, Tang Yandong stopped smiling and looked at his second brother with a deep gaze.

"Who did you meet when you went out just now? You didn't look well when you came in."

Tang Yannan frowned and took a sip of his drink. He said irritably, "Song Chichi."

When he went downstairs to pick up Zheng Yanyan and her daughter, he realized that he had not dressed up properly yet. However, it was very troublesome to go upstairs. When he looked away, he saw a dark red Maserati sports car parked beside him. The car's streamlined lines were also very beautiful.

He walked over and didn't expect Song Chichi to be in the car.

The two of them had a conflict.

Tang Yandong sighed and said, "Since you don't like Song Chichi, then just reject her."

"I already told her I didn't want to date her." Tang Yannan said impatiently, "I really get annoyed whenever I see her."

"And is that because you want her to be Minmin instead?" Tang Yandong asked in a low voice.

"Big Brother…"

Tang Yandong waved his hand, indicating that he didn't have to say anything more.

On the other side.

Tang Wei left the apartment but didn't see Chichi's car anymore.

She took out her phone and was about to ask when she saw a message from her best friend, who said that she had to leave first to deal with something on set.

She pursed her lips and replied, "Okay." Then, she looked at the row of neatly parked shared bicycles at the side and thought that she should take a ride to ease her mood.

On the way, Tang Wei was riding in the non-motor vehicle lane.

Sometimes, she really wanted to pry open her siblings' heads to see what was inside. She even suspected that they weren't born from the same parents.

How could they be fooled by that pair of mother and daughter and hurt their own biological sister time and time again?

Today was supposed to be her birthday, but her mood is all ruined because of them!

However, the main issue right now was why would Tang Yandong take away her mother's belongings in advance? What she couldn't figure out was why he didn't want to return it to her today.

Tang Wei cursed as she thought about the annoying things that happened. It was already a red light, but she was distracted and rode the bicycle onto the zebra crossing path.

"Be careful!"

A loud male voice came from the road.

Tang Wei realized that she had run a red light and a car was rushing over from the right. She was in no hurry to avoid it and suddenly became nervous. Her hands lost control and she twisted the handle all the way.

The bicycle instantly sped up and rushed out. At this time, the car on the other lane on the right quickly braked and stopped in place.

Tang Wei quickly turned on the brakes and stepped on the ground with trembling legs. She did not come to her senses for a long time.

The owner of the car stuck his head out of the car and cursed, "How are you handling that bicycle?! Are you colorblind, or did you forget to bring your glasses? Can't you see the traffic light?"

At this moment, a man came over and apologized to him with his hands clasped together.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. She was fighting with me."

With that, the man took Tang Wei elsewhere.

In another car that almost collided with Tang Wei, Lu Wei said to the man sitting in the car's back seat, "Big Brother, isn't that Third Sister-in-law?"

Lu Beichen naturally saw it too. His large hands were gripping the back of the chair nervously.

At this moment, he saw that the woman was safe and sound, but she looked like she was scared silly.

He heaved a sigh of relief. He did not want to be charged with murdering his wife.

Also, the man who ran to Tang Wei seemed to know her.

Hence, Lu Beichen said calmly, "Drive. We still have to go to my mother's grave."

Lu Wei nodded and started the car again.

Tang Wei's frightened soul finally returned to its original position. She blinked and looked at the man in front of her. He was looking at her worriedly.

"Thank you for just now," she said hurriedly.

"Do you not recognize me? I thought you did." The man said with a sad expression.

Tang Wei sized him up.

The man's gentle face and the expression between his eyebrows were so familiar.

"Ah, I remember now. You're Chichi's uncle!" Tang Wei said in surprise, "Aren't you supposed to be overseas at the moment?"

Song Tianwen nodded. "I thought you were like that girl, Chichi. She only recognized me after I gave her a gift."

"Anyways, I'm back here for some matters to handle, so I'll be staying in A City for the next few months," he said as he walked closer to her.

"Are you hurt anywhere?"

Tang Wei understood and answered, "No, thank you so much for today, Mr. Song. I'll treat you and Chichi to a meal another day as thanks."

Song Tianwen pursed his lips and said, "I'm only about ten years older than you. You don't have to call me Mr. Song."

Before this, Chichi had said that her uncle was a talented young man. Whenever Tang Wei left home in high school, she would always go to the Song family's residence. At that time, she would always meet Song Tianwen. He used to be a young talent, but now he looked mature and steady.

"Didn't you always call me Uncle in the past with Chichi? Continue calling me that. There's no need to be so distant."

"How can I? You're indeed not much older than me."

Tang Wei quickly shook her head. Chichi kept calling him 'Uncle' because they were true relatives. How could Tang Wei continue calling him that?

Song Tianwen didn't bother to go further. He looked down and saw that the girl's hand on the handle had been burned.

"Your hand…"

Tang Wei followed his line of sight and saw her hand, so she put it down.

"I accidentally scalded myself."

"How about this, where do you live? I'll call a car to send you. After all, you're riding a bicycle today."

He added, "If you continue to ride your bike after this and Chichi finds out later, she'll blame me for not taking good care of you."

"You don't have to tell Chichi that you met me. Anyways, thank you for today, Mr. Song. I'll be leaving first. I'll treat you another day."

"Alright."

Song Tianwen was still smiling at her.

The man knew that this was just an excuse. Tang Wei deliberately distanced herself from him every time they met. How could she ever take the initiative to invite him to a meal?

Tang Wei got on her bicycle and moved away. Although it was rude to her savior, Song Tianwen's feelings toward her were too obvious, and she couldn't handle it. In addition, there was a time when Tang Wei had ruthlessly rejected him, even though he didn't even confess.
