Uncle Qiu chuckled, "She's got you on her mind, Miss."
"As if she'd think of me, who knows where she's run off to, acting crazy!"
Elder Nan's anger subsided quite a bit; he stared intently at Nan Jiaojiao, growing more and more pleased, his smile uncontrollable, flashing a big white grin at her.
"Really coming back for the New Year?"
Nan Jiaojiao nodded, "For real, coming back to keep you company."
"You'd better stick to your word, no accidents this year, if the Ye Family dares to keep you, I'll send someone over to knock them out cold," Elder Nan grumbled, not feeling the least bit domineering.
Nan Jiaojiao couldn't help but laugh, "I'll come back and bake sweet potatoes for you."
Elder Nan mockingly scoffed, his disdain not for the sweet potatoes but for her cooking skills.
"Don't ruin the sweet potatoes," said Elder Nan, his mouth curling up and his voice suddenly much softer, "What about your master, how is she?"
