Chapter 3 - On the way to School

Claire and everyone else are walking to school as they all are going in the same direction. She and Sam are walking next to each other, and Kevin and Johnathan are in front of them.

As they have good genes, they are all handsome and beautiful. They all sport dark hair and either have purple eyes or green eyes. Johnathan and Kevin look the most like their father and have green eyes, while Claire and Sam have purple eyes like their mother.

In age, Claire and Sam are 15 and are freshmen, Kevin is 16 and a sophomore, and Johnathan is 18 and a senior in high school.

Claire and Sam were talking quietly to each other. "We should do as mom said and do some research on the internet to see if there is any news of natural disasters first as it would be easier to look into. Sam, why don't you do that and I'll go look for information about people with strange behaviors or disease."

"Claire, what do you think our parents are gonna be planning right now? I hope they decide to have us move to the country side, it was so much fun there. We got to play at the creek, go fishing, and ride horses." with an excited look Sam was remembering that summer.

The two older brothers started listening in on the twins talk. At first they didn't get what they were talking about as they didn't hear the talk with their parents, but when they talked about the summer home they stayed in. They thought back, "Johnathan this summer we should convince mom and dad to have us visit there again it was a great play to stay," Kevin was also thinking about the great country house they stayed at, in hopes they could go out on the boats.

Johnathan was thinking of the scenery on the country, the mountains out in the distance, the trees that gave shade to the sun, and the sparkling blue green water, "It would be nice to go back."

As Johnathan takes after their father and was great with words, Kevin was unsatisfied with his short answer argues, "It wouldn't just be nice it would be amazing, so you should help me talk them into having up go there this summer. It would be a wonderful break after school gets out for the summer."

As everyone was walking, before they turned the corner they all heard a growling sound. That sound was followed by load hissing of a cat that could be either angry or scared. When those sounds were heard they all stopped to listen some more.

After a few seconds, Johnathan signals everyone else to stay back and quite as he walks closer to the corner to investigate.

BANG

This loud bang sounded as well as clattering followed, footsteps sounded as it gradually faded off into the distance.

Johnathan was still the closest to the corner so when all those sounds went off he ran to peek over. He was too late to see anything that would tell them what happened.

Kevin was too impatient went over to Johnathan and asked, "Did you see anything."

Johnathan glanced around spotting something dark behind the few trashcan by the wall of the street.

The twins looked at each other then Sam whispered, "Do you think that you know what is happening now?"

Claire has a worried look, "I think this is just the beginning of the end. We might not find anything on the official news sites but we should get some leds on the dark side of the net."

When the twins are done talking they also walk over to where the other two are at. They go to see what there eldest brother is looking at.

Johnathan tells the twins to step back as he didn't want then to get scared by what he was looking at with Kevin.

"You don't want to see this. You two should stand off to the side. Johnathan is going to call this in alright," Kevin agreed with Johnathan, pushing the two back to that corner so they couldn't see.

Johnathan saw it all when he walked over to the trashcan. There was blood spilled everywhere. There was both red and black blood and a small body left behind.

The body that was lying there on the ground was a cat. It looked like it was ripped apart.

He dials the police to tell them what he and his siblings saw and heard and the area where it's at. The area especially matters as it was within the school zone.
