The two police officers came over and asked, "Are you all the ones who called about a disturbing scene in the school zone."
As Johnathan was older and he was the one who made the call, he stepped forward. "Yes it was me who made the call but we all were together when it happened."
"Can you tell us everything that happened? After that we can escort you all to your destination."
The police started the topic of the conversation. Johnathan is the one who did all the talking with input of the others to explain all of the events. Once everything was told he showed the officers the body of the cat.
When the officers saw the body, they realized the scene was quite brutal. As there was blood everywhere and the body was dismembered, they could only imagine what had took place.
As the only witnesses, even their point of views wasn't enough to give them a clear picture. They didn't actually see what had happened and only heard disturbing sounds before they saw the bloody scene.
The female officer speaks up, "Are you all feeling alright? We can take you all to the hospital after we call in for more back up to investigate this scene."
Johnathan declines the officers offer. He explained that they already called their parents and discussed amongst themselves and they all decided to go to school. There was no need to have an escort to school with all of them together as they were almost to school anyway.
When the officers heard that they glanced at each other trying to decide whether or not to believe them.
The female officer finally said, "Alright, we will let you all go on to school but we would like to have your parents contact information so we can contact to all if we need to ask more questions."
With the last thing the officer said Johnathan went ahead and wrote down both their parents phone number, "Here you go. Can we go to school now? We're going to be late if we stay any longer."
"Go on, as she said if we need more info we'll inform you're parents. Be careful on the way even though it's just on the next street over, alright. Have a good day."
"Thank you."
With that all the siblings thanked the officers for there time and waved as they started walking down the street.
Claire speaks up, "I hope they catch who or whatever did that because that was absolutely terrible with what happened to the cat."
Sam mutters under his breath, "This probably isn't the first case like this to happen recently. The officers were just to calm with how this scene was looking, like they seen it too many times."
Sam only said that really softly so their two older brothers didn't hear what he just said.
Johnathan thought the twins were still scared and he walked over to give them a hug, "Don't worry. We did what we could here so all we need to do is to be careful for now until more news is released on this matter. For right now let's all go to school, ok."
"Ok," the twins replied to their brother. With that they all continued to school.
Finally the school makes it into their eye sight. The gate was still open so they all walked in.
Saying bye to one another to go to their respective classes. Claire and Sam just so happened to have the same classes walked together to their homeroom which was language arts.
Sarah and James were still at the home after the kids left that morning.
They had a lot on their minds with the information that was shared that morning.
After a while of sitting in silence Sarah's phone rang. When she picked up the phone Kevin was the one who started talking about what they had saw and heard.
After everything was told they ended the call, only for her to be waiting for Kevin's answer on what they will be doing.
James asked, "What's going on?"
"We'll probably have to start preparing sooner than later for the end of the world," with a grim look Sarah told her husband what the kids heard and saw as they were going to school.
"It's a good thing I know a thing or too about stocks. We do have a lot of money that we can spend for what we need," Johnathan tried to joke, but when he said that it was kind of dry.
"Honey, don't forget you also work a 9 to 5 job too that pays well. What do you think we should start buying first?"
In the middle of talking Sarah got the text back that they all will go ahead and go to school. She let out a big sigh and grumbled about how this is one of those times the kids are suppose to skip classes not go ahead and go.
James goes over and gives a light knock on her head, "Those kids are all responsible. You don't need to worry so much about them. Especially Johnathan and Kevin, they will watch over the twins."
"Oh, whatever. Shouldn't you be getting ready for work. I'll go make a list of priorities that we need to get prepared with, ok."
Sarah shooed away James. She got up and picked up a pen and paper and started writting down the list of things they needed.
