Undertakers don't let emotions sway in the way of their choices. The monarch only had to step out of the truck, feel the edge of each door and stare deep to his final choose. It's only a brief blink of a pause, but he walked the path in bold long strides. Fate threads pulled him strongest through that gate and the chains of his unresolved issues. She didn't even tell him that there were gates to other better pocket worlds to escape the duty; really he figured that out without her. But it was over in the blink, he will be returned to the kingdom that he raised.

She lays in the truck holding herself in the many pains and pulls. Bones snap and her entire middle front retracts itself in a new way. The return of having a gaping hole with her torso restructured as a net to hold her organs around the gap. She felt the pocket world around glitch and she knew then that this was Grandpa's truck. The break hand wasn't down and the floor was cleaner. Her truck was muddy from her use of pulling marble and crap about the pocket realm. She lays holding the gun with checking it was on safety. She is not safe yet.
"Leave! Now!" Undertakers exiting. Her mom and brother are protected. They make it out of the house. The ecslipe was to strong as the rooms glitch between her realm and the living one. She gets out the truck and the house stabilized once more.
Traits returned; The Elegance and Grace of an Empress. Hollows feelings - light and dark are temperature to you. Clothus life - your material body alters with whatever self image you have. Hey, the chatty ai is back. Good to have you on board. A pleasure to be of assistance.
She puts the gun away to the holster, she belts this correctly to her waist. She softly moved around to the front and posed open hands of surrender. She walks calmly, and stopped at the spot they pointed to. A summoning undertakers gate started to raise from dust and dirt. Soon a black floating disc hung up. The monarch stepping though. He posed his men down and nods to her. She lowered with equal nod.
"Leah!" Her brother not needing to follow their rules breaks free and to her side, "What the hell did you do to yourself?" That answered that. He can see parts of her hybrid forms.
"I always had all this, it just was sealed better. Now something happened and I needed them back. I can't seal it away now." She crossed arms and pose left hand between words. A lot of the time her left hand are making comments about his worry for nothing. She even adjusted her feet which was her sighing in clothus at him. He may not know clothus but knew her plenty to knock her arm.
"You should stop making the house glitch sheesh. What if someone was injured by it?"
"Nah, like that be a harm to the undertakers. Besides, the house is normal. See." Turns him to look properly and it is. He still frowns at her and head knuckles her. They of course as kids do rough house. Not actually hurting each other and not being anything less human. Mom approached and hugs them both, shivering that everyone was find.
"I love you, mom." Sinking into that hug warmly. Leah taking the chance to enjoy something she has had less of these days. Not letting go even as their mom is.
"Leah has grandpa's gun." He taddle tales. Leah frowns at him for ruining the moment.
"Well it wasn't the only cool stuff I found." She crossed her arms and mom kneels at looking at them both seriously, "If your wondering where his blade weapon is, I have it encased in a display mount. It needs a little work before we could hang it up. I found some of his uniform and waiting to hear back about his medals."
"This isn't funny. We need it." Mom hands on shoulders.
"It's a scythe. You don't just use it as you please. It has to like you and your not even trained. At least Joseph here has that much."
"And what? You been trained?" He sass at her.
"We not even going to go there. If you have questions, ask your mentor. The demigod ranker with the fedora maybe." She flicked him, "I have to ask permission to talk shop with Judgement frist."
"Judgement is a scythe. You ask death."
"Nah, she is right. You ask the scythe permission." The intervening undertaker monarch breaking the argument aside, "I have a few letters to hand over before we depart and this is that opportunity." He left hand gives each of them a letter. Starting with mom. Then three letters to Joseph. A stack to Leah. He soon waved to all his men and they leave, "I expect you to look after them. Have a few requests sent on. Not forgetting to talk to the others." He states as he closing the gate. The sound around them was back and the front window isn't busted anymore. The front door is opened by thier aunt, thick layers of ribbon bindings.
"About time, I wasn't able to find much on my own." Mom returned back in. Leah hide the gun away. They go inside as the cloud cover lifted away, sunlight ashed any damned or spirit corpses. Leaving dust piles and rise of smoke. The cascades ring loud over the trees. A neighbors car passes by. It's all vaguely back to normal. The mail box glitches a lot, but once a reel of black body snake climbs over and swallow the mail. It jumps off and it's back to the original box. The long body slides the grass area and around to the back garden.
"You can't even read, so go play outside and not disturb us." Her aunt shouts mad and slad locked the back door. Leah having been tossed out looked back at the door being locked. She notions for her brother to look at the guest room and he soft nods. She moved away since her aunt is distracted by Leah just standing there. So now she moved away from the back door, to the side of the house. Leans at the only shade there is that isn't fire ant taken. She smiles warmly in lifting the black snake from the floor, petting it in all the right places that he pleases.
"Good boy Ragnar." In how he regurgitate the mail to her lap, and slides away into the grass and shade. She expressed being disgusted but make do with reading the mail piles. She finds her hand petting a fluffy body on her lap as take seriously of the mail before her. Requests soon fixed into the floating interface before her. New files glowing that related to all the laws that it concerns. She has her mask side making replies, be it drawings or copying the law preventing her from doing the requests given. She was soon asleep too, over tired from the stress and heat. Morpheus in concern of her sleeping here, jumps and sprays her with a garden hose. She jolts instantly awake and cooled off. She stares in how burnt her arms and legs are by the heat.
"Leah!" Jospeh runs over turned the hose off, "You..." He felt her skin and felt burnt. He then tries again, "Come on." Helping her to and to the back door. He glares at aunt and mom for being useless. Taking Leah to the guest bathroom. Into the tube with warm water, if she put into to cold of water - she was go into shock. He goes into the mirror cabby and there a lot of walker remedies. He drips several into the tub with her. She can feels these things working. Her shadow also into a bath, in purification. She nearly asleep again and he shakes her awake.
"Need to be awake." He told her. She splashed across her face. Finally cooling down.
"This is a waste of water. Turn it all off." Auntie states at the door, "What are you even doing? Nothing in there is going to help a drama queen." Which was the last straw. He closed the bathroom door on her and locked it. Helps pour other things into the tub. Checking her temp. Glad that it's normal. The worst is over. She lifted a soda drink from storage and offers him one too. He smiles and together they opened them. The drink had been fridged, nice and cold.
"Saint Augustin isn't that bad. We go there for the Columbia restaurant all the time. We went with grandpa last time." She small talks into the conversation, "You want them to help with the lack of focus you have. Meds even." He stared at the drink and shook at that being ridiculous.
"And what about you. Miss - I read backwards." At least he listening to her as a person. But it's not going to last. He find something stupid to do like pour the drink down her back. His attention was caught in her expression.
"I guess I could go to school. If my father side of the family don't stop me. They have tomes and are stick up the buts attitude. The second my name in one the registration, they be in mom's business about why she thinks I smart enough to even be there."
"Arent you going anyway?" He really debating to pour the drink over her. Fidgeting his feet a lot.
"Do you even want me to?" He finally did it, tipping it down her. She reacted with shaking hers and spraying it back on him. He laughed like a goof. The serious talk all gone. The bathroom door was finally opened and it's mom. The two adults have done their argument match about Leah left outside and Joseph going to school.
The application letters and recommendations left behind seemingly by grandpa. They can't argue a dead man's plan. Its all paid for and for both children. Some extra for James for medical bills or spare money emergency. Leah extra was for courts against Seer and pocket money for other expenses. It's little and there is equal shares to both daughters from their father, so no need to envy the grandchildren. These are all things that was spoken about as they were drying Leah off. Getting ready to leave. Leah could tell her mom was likely already seeing someone, she as this sparkle in her eyes that wasn't there before. Hope in a near future. Leah isn't mad but likely to get left behind as will her brother.
The tads about the applications were reacting to different laws and it was strange as there was laws about adopting or change of names being changed. She maybe could be wrong about her mom leaving her. But there still a heavy regert laying her shoulders.
"I thought he be here." Leah closing the car door once they all climbed in. Her aunt in the passenger front seat and Mom driving. The paperwork was finally sorted. Most of the important photo albums and expensive items in the boot. Joseph looked up to the cooing three eye grey feathers. Joseph bows respects with what he can for being seated in a car. Leah sees omens ducking about around her aunt and Leah lowered too. It wasn't that long after that a bullet shot past the back window and flew the windscreen. Only the glass caused any harm, this bullet wasn't aimed at anyone. They haven't even started driving yet.
"Get out the car!" The freak from before that was in this car before. He lowered when he sees who he shot the car of. He sees how mad the lady driver is and that she was slowly approaching him. The man was so melted like butter that she was able to take the gun off him. Their aunt is already called the police. The mad man drops are the floor laughing and begging. Even as the police have already came and pulled him away. She surrounded his gun to the cops. She makes her statement. Aunt makes a statement. Kids checked over with a someone having a medical kit to remove glass shards. The police offer to help them home. The items taken from the house was on a lap each or the seat between. Omens stays around with the crazy man. As they take him to the police station. Gods work weird ways. Omens must be warning people that the mad man isn't all there.
"Leah, I was asked to ask you. Since my mentor was just here checking up." Explains the near miss of death for them, "is there multiple core tomes?"
"As in there being multiple tomes sharing time space? Or what that there just tomes without time and space?" He looked confused of her asking.
"Both?" He guessed.
"Then yes." She shurgs, "There will likely be multiple gods of the same true title but for different soul values. Death will know this and will have just wanted my confirmation." Joseph turns to sent this as a message on the crystal. She turns facing the human with an undertaker in them, "Sometime a book cover hides things beyond imagination. You seem a calm man. Does the infinite possibility scare you?"
"Life is always been full of possibilities." The human host speaking this wisdom more then the undertakers thoughts. But it's plenty enough. She finds the sting of the cut hurt a lot. Another alcoholic wipe removed another glass shard. They protected their necks with arms, so it's arms and back the worst covered. Small lots of scratches and one or two deep embedded from high velocity.
"Time to take you folks back." There a pause of the radio report. A sort of code. It affected the undertakers too. Leah knew to hide the stuff from Grandpa's house again. She stolen it from mom and aunt too. She posed to stop Joseph, as he needs attention too. He puts away the crystal and ready. The doors closed and locked engaged. Not that stop her getting out.
"Gate breach!" The shout and the whole squad moved to make a blockade. They are moved out these cars. Everyone braces with hunter gear. Undertakers step also adding numbers. She sighed a suddenly feeling something about it all. That she knew them.
"Hold the line!" They all ready and she runs out from the safety of the blockade. She runs right over to the open gate. She takes a moment to caught breath. She stands straight and with a stomp of her foot.
"Enough fighting!" Her voice rungs in over everyone, out throwing the commanding police on duty. The gate sparks as two massive bodies of bug things peer down at her, "Are you done?" The lowered shivering at knowing her, "Good. Time out. Separate! Now!" They bow to her and go separate. She stomps as there was a little tizzy. But they go separate ways and the gate closed. She posed in finding them annoying. Going back to the police blockade.
"May I have a reason for what made you do that." An undertaker approach.
"They are dogs that have fights a lot." She throw left hand in saying she didn't have time to be questioned. Back to Joseph, "Luna and Sunna."
"Dogs? But hell bugs." He grumbles.
"No. Creatures from the abyss. But whatever. They are marked in the Helix foundation community." She poked his crystal to allow him guest access, "Don't try to hard." He looked at the information and back at her. He sends to share the information to the death order network. This automatically spreads with undertakers, whom now looked at instant messages from thier own sigil messages. Police eased.
Leah looked at the fate threads, a very thin one with the mad man. The gold ones with family and gods. The silver with future allies. There several black hidden ones, damned connections that happen naturally. She finds the darkest thread, red mixed. This was her connection to Mat. She at least hope it is.
"Get you folks home." Back to doing exactly that. She leans starting at the house. She knows this isn't the last time being there. Watching the world fly by. The police car parking late at the aunts house. But now was another scream match between the women.
For the sake of the kids, they were allowed to pack up some basics. Police seeing the tear apart of what was a warm family.
"I came to collect the kids." The demon in a human host.
"Just need their mothers to sign." Leah's is signed and with the aunt taken away from veiw, signs Josephs.
"Can I join?" Mom asked the demon and he nods.
"Always. Your father meant a lot to us." She collected her stuff. Leah makes a quick stop to the backyard. Hugging uncle goodbye. And to take the cores of the god tree and serpent. She can't leave them here. She collected the many tomes, scythe and soul stones. Her uncle shrugs of the weird. Letting her back in past to the door, waving off.
"You can come back to visit." Her aunt voiced at least. Leah smiles for that much, as it's all she needed. Nodding fairwell.
"It's late, so the night classes will be on." The demon driving them explains.
"I am skipping to take the national exam. It's in a month's time. I will take English classes in the meantime." Leah voiced and her mom went to hiss.
"Maybe it's about time you tell her, Miss." The demon stooped mom.
"She doesn't want to beleive it from me." Leah sighed, "So there is a reason why those monsters listened to me. The reason why I am unfazed by angels, demons and undertakers. Even as the unnatural happens around me, I am already aware of it. I have a ranking above you. I am respected in several fields. I can read and write, just as a little backwards sometimes. I already have several jobs and an entire realm of my command." She lets that sink in.
"Stop saying lies. You are going to school properly." Her mom hissed and Leah felt invisible. Leah turns watching the window, a hard knot in the throat. Joseph attempted to help Mom see what Leah meant but his shot down too.
"I guess we will just have to let the hard lesson be learnt, Trixie." The demon voiced.
"It's not lack of trying on my part." Leah managed with a roughness. Watching the landscape and the way the demon used gates to cut distance. A dangerous method but it got them before school lockdown. The time of the evening that the protections are raised from gate monsters. They got put the car and rushed in. Their mom went to get luggage but the demon caught her from so and rushed them.
"Got it already." Leah wheels the suitcase to her mom.
"You learn the trick eventually." Joseph pulled his.
"There is a new policy." The demon explains, "Illusionary magic is banned." Joseph nods and he removed his casting. Showing that he has several tattoo marks of death over his neck and arms. But he then turned to Leah, "Maybe you shouldn't follow that rule." He meant it to Leah.
"But I am to set an example." Leah huffed, "Take them to their accommodations. I will be on the church ground."
"Yes miss." The demon looked and her mom frowns confused. Even as they depart from each other. Leah watched their backs, soon picking up a fluffy rolling mass at her feet. Petting it. Watching them leave from sight. She turns facing the gate and glares at late students.
"Come on!" A Darkwood hissed.
"Shit." The Seer.
"It's not that bad. We not the only ones." The glader meant towards Leah. The Fallown twitched in fear, backing away from the gate.
"Just this once with me." She unraveled the casting of the gate, "I needed to edit it anyway." They slip in and rush away with leaving Leah to he told off. The Glader sticks around, watching Leah make change to the magic. Unable to see but can feel the pressure of magic flows. Once the gate was strong, she removed her Illusionary hide. She watched her human flesh altering, pulled into a puppet mass. She stares at the Gladers and they ran fast. She stands in getting to grip of her senses.
"Empress has came to me, it's as thing should be." The headmaster not hiding his demon origin.
"Do you have a reading manual for dyslexic?" She asked and he nods, holding it out with the left hand, "Any pests for me to clean?" She takes the reading manual and flicked through.
"I will talk business later. I can tell your exhausted." She also realized the book was upside down. She closed it and tucked under arm, "Your family will be given the nicest treatment. Not only did your grandfather serve well in the same team as me. But you have enough history too." She smiles softly at that.
"It's nice to there being a normal." She softly walked away to the church. She definitely scared plenty in her wake, many dive doorways to avoid her. It only made her more self conscious of her image. Hands at her front, stepping straight back and with soft steps that barely make sound at all. Her right hand held more at her heart then posed at her front.
"Welcome back." Omens but this was a different vessel. Not the three eye raven. This was his paper human shape and this one has his souls that fears her. He definitely wasn't enthusiastic of her being here.
"I missed your squawking." She laughed lightly nervous, "I guess it doesn't matter." She crossed her arms, "You have any requests? I have several with death and his wife."
"No. I don't rely on you unless it was dire." She smirked at that.
"I am glad that you believe in me for such dire important things." A light punch at his arm and she moved onwards, taking herself to the pews. She lays down on a back row, alone. Omens slide in seeing that, confused of her sadness. He turns away as finally what he was waiting for is here. He exchanged with Fate's vessel. Peering together in working on some things. Fates vessel looked Leah's direction, having felt there being changes to Golden threads. She leans worried but omens shakes at not intervening. Together they peer to papers, ignoring this for now. She drifted into sleep, laying the pew and gathering energy from around the grounds. She spills about the shadows in her sleep, being careful in who and what she exchanges energy with. She has enough, dream slips into her domain.
Her head lifted from the truck, she stares at the gates and the new one added. She set to driving her scrapyard of material. Plenty of time to carve some goods to sell as merchandise. She even had plenty of skins for new armour kits. Experimenting on a light gear set for undertakers. She makes several fancy leather braces and glove gaurds.
The waking world comes back to her as the church bell for 6am dings. She felt well rested, lifted from a cloak that been put over her. She felt the material and ponders the lacking kingdom crest. Even so, she wears it now. Hoping to thank the person for the kindness. She flicked the hood up, it's a thick that provides protection from light.
