As per always to watch the backyard of its wildlife and spirits who are hidden in veils. She spends plenty of her time looking out, watching these mythical and learning of reactions. She could almost hear them speak, learning their body language. She has been this way always, regardless of her life shape and even now as a reincarnation, this has transferred these vital talents and skills. She has quite the list and, like any old fashion system, has an invisible panel that is the reminder of these things. Even if the weird panel is glitched half the time, shows the wrong language and keeps making skills black out. Even so, it doesn't stop her learning these forbidden skills blocked abilities for herself.
Pearched on a chair she pulled with shadow use, she smiled in feeling she had been to watch this fight between a high arch demon and archangel. She had even grinned as the god eater living under her aunts house devoured the corpses. The souls unable to flee are fed to the god elder tree that lives in the back left corner of the property. As per normal, both have set terms to farm the human magnets for spirit folks. The tree eats souls and the god eater gets the corpses. A well versed team that wishes to kill each other slowly. As per normal, the god eater is posioning the water supplies and the tree is growing roots into the god eater. Both will die of the others scheme. Both will be hers to collect, eventually. She isn't going to let some death god bet her to this punch, unless of course her hands become tied by family drama.
The premade baby milk is in the kitchen to be shaken and used. Coffee maker at the ready to brew. The kichten turkey day was ready for high quality preparation. She leans in glance to check who was awake first, but frowns as it wasn't the family to bother her. She turns back around with pouting. Back to staring outside again. Although, the three eyed bird is new. She stares deeply upon such new mythical thing that will be devoured soon. But she also felt that made the Lizard under the house was already been killed. The tree too, snapped in a broken way. She crossed her arms of lost fun watching the elder tree and Lizard be lost so easy.
"Are you even human?" It hops through the glass pane, as it is not a living world creature. She stares deeply in meeting its gaze. She does not flinch or waver any emotional response that differed. If anything, the bird is who moved away from her. She pouts regardless as she was before the bird was there, scrunched as having such a 'neutral' fortunate before her. She finds it best now to act her age and put the chair back neatly. She lost her outside entertainment, so the TV on low volume will make do. She avoided the cloaked man in the front doorway, straight to the TV remote with buttons. She knew instinctive of the button combination, given the universal remote was for four different devices. She softly returns the remote to its place as finally her uncle is next awake.
He zombie walks to the kitchen, clicked the coffee to brew and checked the premade milk. He given a response of a morning nod her way in his shuffle back to the bedroom. Coffee and baby formula at steady shuffle back. The loud argument that follows when door closed and that her mom is awaken from one the back rooms. She can be heard taking her coffee and seated at the living room. Shares watching the parade. Her brother last awake shuffled to the toilet and was quick to the kichten. Upon him making it to the living room, tossed everyone cereals bar. Everyone eats with the volume raised enough barely. Officially it was the music of the TV to spring awaken the hungry baby and dark mad scowls of a sisters disappointment and disapproval. As children should, marvel at the thanksgiving parade. They talked of this years air balloons, floats and dance groups. Special guests and singers. Companies that took part being sponsors. The relevance of the characters and music.
It's lovely to be around those you love and enjoy things together. She can't help a small smile softly in notice that even her tempered aunt and uncle had eventually settled, watching the parade. The clean play pen for the baby giggles away after feed and change.
Just a breather of a moment, it was as it should have been. It will not stay this pleasant for long, as nothing ever does about this house.
The parade was to some long segments, and she stood with tugging her brother. She made a gesture about clothes and they went separately to get changed in proper stuff. She does her best at being soft, but nothing is good enough. A toy flies the pen hitting along her head. She as any normal person that doesnt know how to cruse, said ouch as it did hurt. She doubts it was the baby fault. Even if the baby did, there isn't a point of yelling at such an infant. Her uncle being a more normal man went to the pen and made sure this didn't happen again. Her mom asked if she was fine. Her aunt plays it down and had even said something along of lines of deserving it. Which was a little uncalled for and got the two sisters bickering.
"She likely didn't mean it. It does hurt." Eliza pouts to mostly herself as her uncle heard her. He was kind enough to check her and softly cheers her up.
"Yes there is a bump. That was a hard hit. I am sorry on my daughters behalf."
"I am glad it wasn't the TV." She huffed and he nods agreeing to that, "I will go change out of PJs now. At least during this advertiser break." She may hold her head where it hurts but she gets a wiggle on with changing. She cautiously passing other places and makes it around to the back room she shared with her mom. Putting on three outfits at one, mostly spirit armours and that she had extra from a panel prompt. That demons from her father's side were lurking about. That tree and lizard is gone, but she still hoped that other things were protecting around here. She laced her back of her dress alone with use of her mask and shadow tendrils. She nests up her hair too in this way, staking it to place with a hair pin, but she sure to be asked where a expensive piece will have came from.
As on queue, she exits and helps secretly about the kitchen. Her uncle soon silently joined in and liked having a helper with small things. He had even allowed her to cut things with a sharp knife as he boiled potatoes and preped the turkey. Her aunt answered the front door twice. The English guy, soon to be her new father. Grandpa and grandma. They brought plus ones for different things. The third time is answered by her brother and he stares up to the man that pushed past him. The arrogant idiot pushed past like he owned and or could own this place.
"You weren't welcome. In fact, just leave. You will ruin this for everyone." Her mask hissed and he definitely heard her speaking damned, "You aren't invited."
"I don't know who you are and if you think you can..." He stops short as she has already taken the craft to expel his damned side. All that stood now was his human side in shock, "It doesn't matter if you try these play tricks. It doesn't work on a human."
"But a gun against a trespassing invader does." Her aunt second the motion.
"You need to leave." Her grandpa added in his stern police tone. Even the English fella was protecting everyone, be it a little scare of how guns came out the wood works of this American home.
"Then I will leave when I get my daughter."
"Your daughter? You are a sicko. I am not to be blood fodder for some summoning ritual. You can leave without me." Her mask hissed, "You gave nothing and you don't have the right to start now. You are to late. You are a criminal. I don't trust you. Murderer." Her mask imposes a deep snarl, "I seen those names you took from life. I felt the hands who wrote them into the other pages. I would rather put my fate in the hands of a god follower then you."
He laughed as he made a strange casting motion or command. This fool stands tall waiting but even her uncle lowered his defence, confused of what exactly is meant to happen. It was the Brave English man to approach and prevent further entry. Her brother seconds this. Even the demon who companies her grandpa laughed in the lack of things.
"It would seem that you brought plenty of snacks for my pets. We are grateful for such a bounty of meat. You should get going before one of them braves it for your human health." This was her mask speaking, Her human side smiles carrying a tray of drink around to each and then softly continued with her human side speaking, "Someone got rid of the tree and Lizard. So it's no wonder my little friends have come to play. They feared the tree and now this doesn't matter. Omens is an amusing fellow." She laughed at the end of this in sort of a tease. Drinks taken from tray to coffee table. She lifted her own and posed, "To Fate and its strange ways."
"The creepy girl isn't wrong. Your demons are ate." Stepping out from hiding, long brim hair of feathers brushed in a downward tip of greeting, "Although to the extent of why she thinks she owns them as pets is questionable. But this whole family group as it stands has been sighted as deep interest to my kingdom and furthermore this little girl whom particularly knows where all those blades scythes are."
She still maintained the pose of waiting for her toast. As she wasn't excluding anyone, more plenty drinking cups or prefer types of drinks sit at that coffee table at centre of everyone. It is her mask that is more honest of her emotions; sad, stress and had even slightly lowered herself in knowing that she's not really worthwhile in the eyes of those it mattered most for. Glad to see the undertaker but hold this sense of knowing they will not tie well at all anymore. The reflective of looking about this situation in a maturity that isn't her age, they aren't going to listen to her. So much is doubted at her words that someone else had make the point to prove it.
Her human side getting the hint lowered her gesture, sighing and sits the sofa as the adults here were already shouting. The threat of gun is gone, but certainly threat of police and undertakers was real. And as if she sort of seen it coming. Her mask side was given a bad injury in a cross fire.
This had real human blood cough from both sides of her. Mask side retreats back to herself. Frowned more in pain. It over seeded everything else. She finds her mind dazed in background thoughts, as she mutely watched all these sides fighting each other.
The hidden watching bemused of the events and see this as nothing as a squabble of no consequences. That was for the most part true, but she is sad and a certain something that loves her dearly noticed this. Instead of the love talon attack but rather a soft approach and head bash. Healing purr and bend feathers acting like hands petting her. So even in chaos, her Loki is here. It makes her feel better even if its emotional support. With Loki follows Morpheus to curl at her lap, paws clinging in hug too. Matching the purr tempo.
Sharp focus with reality was brought by real cops taking people outside. Her uncle set aside from his rage against two unwelcome men. That of her brother father and her own. If you wondering when the other guy showed up, it was after the undertaker froze time around here. As a separate case of items and people were sorted before the human police stepped in to calm the situation down. She stopped petting her empty lap while someone came to take a closer look at her. Pictures taken and police statement made. She didn't need to speak any further then the easy health questions. Making sure she doesn't have a concussion. It was clear that while she was sorting drinks that she was in the range of harm. The baby crying in the bedroom with her aunt taking a breath test. Others with breath test. Just a turkey day gone wrong as this was normal for dysfunctional families.
"Do you feel safe here?" Socail service being called in. Her brother is already in his room with someone, packing his bag to go. Her mom and the English fella are already signing some sort of papers. Her eyes met with her brother as he out ready. He frowns in tilting back to thier mom and he turns to go make way for helping her pack. She back to looking upon the social worker.
"Does it matter what I think?"
"Yes. Yes it does." She has been wearing that frown a while and it twitched lower as the paperwork to hand over was clipped tight.
"My Mother is a good woman. It is just the overall responsibility is to much. She carries so much for everyone. I am safe with her. But she isn't always able. This isn't her fault. So I will respectfully go in hope of better chances." This was written down. The slow drew of the pen of how well practiced that may sound to those not use to her maturity, "You make sure to come after Mr Seer too. He doesn't pay his support for me." That stopped the pen instantly, "That's why she works more for the same money. Its not fair." The pen back scribbling more notes, "You don't need to keep me with my older cousin. As much as he is raised as my brother, I know I would weigh him down. It be best for a boarding school, right? Although I have trouble reading. I am home school because I have such trouble reading. This wasn't a bad arrangement. I can read but slowly. Translation of understanding what I read is often the hard part." She fell into this rant and it is nice they write it all down listening. It sets up things easier to let them know this early on. She is very patient, making the case worker note more things.
"Once these men leave, would you say you be safe?"
"Is mom going away?" The followed reply is a nod, "Then without her, its not safe. I like my family but its mom that keeps me safe. That guy, Mr Seer is a total stranger. My aunt cares only for the baby more then anyone else. It's only been nice occasions between us sibilings otherwise." The case worker posed in thought.
Peers up to how the Mr Seer whole story was totally discovered and disproven. That the case worker had another look around. Asked that the police breath tested Mr Seer to now. He was intoxicated worse than anyone else here. He was arrested for trespassing and disorderly behaviour. Grandpa and his demon friend take this opportunity of change to snag in. Making a perfect option for Eliza. Her Brother was to be taken by his biological father as there was no issue. Although not ideal for his wellbeing down the road. Given she can't stay here and she clearly had neither parental side able. The case worker makes a deal to the boarding school scout that grandpa brought. The temping offer of her grandmother cult was there but education in a facility over a unknown location was the final pass.
"Here." Her brother giving her a packed bag.
"Thank you brother." She gives a big hug, "Please write to me. I will do my best to return." He softly and shy returned the hug. It was likely one the last times he will see her. He leaves once his escorted by police and undertakers. Mr Seer is cuffed into the back of a police car following this. His rights being told to him from the car door. She was seated into Grandpa's truck and the scout demon putting her bag in the back. Head scuffed and door closed. Hugs by her mother. It turns out with her uncle being sobber, this was grounds enough that the baby and him needed to vacant together. So they left with cult Grandma. A sting of pity flicked that way even as engines turned on and movement of all these parked up vehicles are vacating.
"Eliza." She settles and once more there is a loki bird and Morpheus cuddles. The love for her was evident, causing discomfort to the speaker. She holds her kitty close in looking away from the window finally. Peering to her grandpa and his driving style. She watched his hand shift gear and drifts gaze to the demon scout.
"You can call me Lady Marionette too." Her tone held confidence that her human body doesn't display, "The missing death god blades are in my queue for sharpening and repairs. You mustn't rush quality work." She noticed the dusk sky of how time flies, tummy rumbles too. She mind not that Loki was being weird. That all his effort to jab her for better attention is being ignored. He was even nibbling her, "Loki, if you weren't so rude. I would have already been giving pats." This stops him with leaning on her fully in pouting. He sink down all calm. Now she frees a hand to pet him too, "Thank you. Your love in me is most definitely felt." She patting both creatures and the drifted into deep sleep. Disappearing entirely. She instinctively now fixed her own hair back neat once more. The hair pins adjusted softly. She sits back properly in the arkward prolong silence.
"So how long have you been aware?" Her grandpa asking as he making stop at traffic lights.
"Rather that, I am a well versed oath huntress. You only seek my skill if you know. More then that, I am the recored keeper of some very delightful soul names. I take no hiring unless it is safe to do so. I mostly scavenge and gut monsters." She eased into silence as the sounds of the living world took more affect. She cast glance to the passing stores and motorway sides. She mentally noted the lack of pedestrian safety or that it is simply to vast between places for single tasks to be accomplished. Her tilt to reading the signage and the Western route passing. Clearly no to this boarding school in Saint Augustus. Rather instead she concluded this was another school in a different catchment or a specialist school for the under study. It was sad that even her grandpa looked down at her intellectual side, bringing her to what is always known as those for special needs.
"Thanks for the drop off." The scout demon exits, "I wish you both luck." She perked in how this wasn't her stop. It was a failure alarm. But in just being sure, studies her bag going no where.
"Eliza. For now forwards, you aren't the little girl in a booster seat. Instead, as a test in such proclaim maturity. I ask you where are you needing to go next?" Her grandpa asked and she doesn't take long to form an answer.
"You need milk, so the shop." She being serious, "I was going to consider paying for it already but then having to bother explaining how I even afford it would have been a hassle. I avoid suspious things from even my mother. Get away with buying small and forgotten stuff all the time." She peered at his confused expression. She needed a moment to adjust in not speaking though her mask like she did just now. Clearly her voice again, "The store for Milk and candle wax." He understood this time.
"Don't try to speak damned to lower mortals. They can't always hear." She heard Morpheus mumble. She pets him and his gone again.
