Chapter 6 - < Episode 5. Quest complete. >

Early morning at dawn.

The library of Egor, Pelas' father and the ruler of Count Dimeo.

Hans, Egor's right-hand man and head of the house of Count DiMeo, entered the room discreetly, carrying a teacup.

With his grey hair nicely combed, old butler Hans set a teacup on the table and poured water.

Squeeze.

The tea leaves swirled in the cup, filling the room with a delicious aroma.

Egor took up the teacup without even glancing at it.

Because it was a regular day, the two of them seemed unaltered.

Meanwhile, Hans said something that was out of character for him.

"Count. All night, there was a minor bustle in the mansion."

Despite his statements, Egor continued to ignore Hans and responded by turning over a stack of papers.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

"The thief has gained access to the master's chamber."

"In the Pelas gnome's room?"

Egor finally put down the document he was clutching when he heard the term thief.

For the first time today, Egor looked up and at Hans.

"Are you sure I didn't hear it wrong?"

Egor has the eyes of a lion.

While his white hair has become scanty owing to the force of time, he emits the same majesty as the King of the Beasts.

Hans passed his stare with ease, as if he was used to such looks.

"At the moment, I am alive and imprisoned underground."

"Are you alive?"

Egor's gaze had returned to those of the Knights' leader.

"How can you claim that the head of the bastard who was slaughtered at Count DiMeo's mansion is still attached?"

"That is currently by order of the big boy."

"What about Mojiri? Providing instructions? Hmph. Even a passing dog wouldn't chuckle at such sound. I'm not sure he's just a person who knows how to drink and play with the greatest swordsmanship he's ever studied."

"It is supposed to be a well-known thief with a hefty reward."

"You must speak in a logical manner. I've been living like an idiot for 10 years. How can a guy who doesn't even know how to use his brain predict the appearance of thieves?"

"Not only that, but he predicted the thief's course ahead of time." Oh, and I got all of this information directly from Havertz.

Egor also paused when Havertz's name was mentioned.

Egor soon sighed and responded.

"Habertz must be circling him again in vain."

"Even the Count is familiar with Havertz.

"..."

"I was asked to leave the follow-up measures by the big boy. He did, however, state that he would serve his probationary sentence."

Egor leaned back in his chair, his arms crossed.

He then turned around and looked out the window.

"Hey, are you hurt in any way?"

Hans responded with a gentle smile on his lips.

"Yes. He is the son of the Count. He is superior to the majority of knights. There was nothing to be concerned about."

"Keuheum! What are you concerned about? And the knights are far superior to those cretins. He's a guy who relies on adornments, and the knights are true friends who use swordsmanship."

"Even the big boy is learning the swordsmanship of our family."

"So, what exactly are you doing? Something I'm not even sure how to use properly."

"Don't dismiss it too quickly, Count."

"It's pointless. Whoa... I'm not sure what kind of wind he was blowing, but he didn't do it all at once."

"The big boy is getting old now."

"But he's still an untrustworthy son of a bitch. Look after yourself."

"Yes, count it."

Pelas' quarters.

smart clever

A voice was heard, as well as a knock on the door.

"Brother. Havertz is my name."

Pellas responded by looking away.

"Uh. Come on in."

profit.

With a heavy thud, the door opened, and Havertz entered the room, holding a light refreshment.

"Bocchan. I've brought a straightforward yogi street."

"Yes. By the way, dad? What exactly did you say?"

Pelas inquired, ignoring the refreshments Havertz had brought.

Pelas was most concerned about Egor's response right now.

So far, everything has gone as planned by Pelas.

But now there was a chance for Egor to step in.

All of this was taking place within Count DiMeo's family, and Count Egor was both king and god in Count DiMeo's family.

In any case, Count Egor's unexpected intervention in the plan.

'Because it's a problem that has the potential to derail all of my future plans.'

That was the most difficult issue for Pelas.

You'll be able to use it even if you only use your hands when the authority for follow-up is returned to you.

Pelas gulped and awaited Havertz's response.

Havertz inhaled deeply and opened his mouth.

"As for the Count..."

"okay."

"As for the Count..."

"Oh, please hurry!"

Havertz responded to Pelas' rage with a smile.

"You have given the young master complete authority over this matter."

"Really? Really? Are you certain? Okay!"

Pelas yelled, his fists clenched involuntarily.

He had the authority to control the situation.

Pelas was concerned because he almost remembered his previous behaviour.

Even Count Egor would be concerned if such a moron did something.

However, it was extremely fortunate that everything went so smoothly.

"Moreover, the count changed it to the inside of the mansion, rather than the master's room."

"Ohh. Isn't that an unexpected benefit?"

It really was.

In the worst case, if permission was not granted, it was Pelas who even thought of finding a solution somehow while keeping a probationary sentence.

However, if the permission for full power was not enough and the sentence of probation was relaxed, the things that could be dealt with would be more diverse.

He smiled at the situation turning in his favour.

Havertz asked Pelas, who was smiling as he spread the refreshments on the table.

"Bocchan. But what are you going to do now? Bring in a thief named Glenn, and even capture him alive. This Havertz, I don't really know what the Bocchan's intentions are."

Pelas nodded.

If you didn't know the situation in front of you like yourself, it would have been a strange action of course.

But Havertz would have acted like this had he known the future.

Leonil, the protagonist of the original work, was a natural disaster for a villain like Pelas.

A natural disaster that strikes suddenly and sweeps away everything.

The original Pelas, and even the Dimeo family, were destined to be swept away by that natural disaster.

But as long as you know that a typhoon is coming, you can't let it go smoothly.

Pelas looked out the window and answered Havertz's question.

"A natural disaster is coming."

Havertz's gaze also turned to the window.

"Is that so? The sky looks pretty clear."

"Wow. Unconditionally. And I'm thinking of changing the way the typhoon goes."

"Bocchan. What is that..."

Pelas cut him off.

"Haberts. I have something for you."

"Yes. Bocchan. Just talk."

Pelas rolled her eyes for a moment before speaking.

"I have to give you a rumour."

"A rumour?"

"Yes. Rumors. The thief Gren died at the hands of Pelas DiMeo."

"Are you saying you're dead, not captured?"

"Yes. Exactly like that. And... time, I'll tell you again."

* * *

A few days ago, Pelas had been quite a headache.

To clear Apel's hidden quest.

In order to complete Apel's quest, Leonil and Nelson had to form a party.

So, what I prepared was a false rumour requested from Havertz.

In the original story, after hearing that Gren had died from Fellas, Nelsong had a party with Leonil.

To avenge Glenn.

However, the timing of false rumours was also important for the two to have a party.

At the right time, word should have spread that Gren died at the hands of Pelas.

So Pellas agonised over and over again to spread rumours at the same time as the original work.

"At least after the two of you meet, rumours should be heard."

If rumours were spread too soon, Nelson alone might show up to seek revenge.

Conversely, if it was too late, Leonil could have left.

Without partying with Nelson.

So Pelas desperately shook his head.

And, after a long thought, it was Fellas who finally caught the timing.

A new church being built in a corner of town.

That was the hint.

"Now it's similar to the state I saw in the game."

Pelas muttered as he looked out the window of his room.

That church is being built little by little.

That church looked like it was being built at the beginning of the game.

just enough for now.

And now, the rumours of Havertz must have spread slowly.

It was proof that the time was approaching.

He went over to the bed, put his hand under the bed and swung around.

chin.

When he gets his hands on something, Pelas picks it up and pulls it out.

What came out of his hand was Apel.

[APEL]

Count DiMeo's family has passed down a famed sword from generation to generation.

- Strength gains 10 points.

-Increases Agility by a factor of ten.

Fellas quietly took out Apel and looked at it dozens of times a day.

The moment when the quest incomplete in the Apel status window changed to completed, that moment would be the signal.

When that quest is broken, it will be the last warning before Leonil and Nelsong attack.

Chijik.

At that moment, a subtle noise passed through Apel's status window.

And Pelas' eyes shone.

"Looks like they finally agreed to amputate my leg."

It was slowly approaching.
