TOME 10 PART 53; EVERY GAME IS A 'QUIZ GAME' AND ALSO A 'HUNT GAME'
YU GI OH PROVERB;
Long ago, when the Pyramids (Pyra+Mythra) were still young Egyptian Kings played a Game Of Great and Terrible Power but these Shadow Games erupted into a War that threatened to destroy the entire World until a Brave and Powerful Pharaoh locked the Dark Magic away imprisoning it within the Mystical Millenium Items.
"...but the Ancient Egyptians were unaware that their Mystical Battles would evolve into the Most Popular Game...Duel Monsters...".
EXPLANATION;
The 'Word' 'Game' comes from the word 'Mark' which is the 'Reward' any 'Hunter' gains as a reward for his 'Effort and Hunting Prowess'. To 'pursue Game' is to 'pursue a Mark' as in a 'Target'. (It is truly no laughing business).
Ask yourself why 'Gamers' such as 'Esau', 'Edom', 'Dome' the word for 'Sky' or 'Mode' as in a 'State' usually 'draw the short end of the Stick' in the Real World. It is because the 'Real World' is 'perfectly more aware of their True Latent Capability than they are'. 'Games' are all about 'Logic' the Foundation Of 'Math and Science' and the 'Focus Of The Practical'. 'Esau was a 'Gamer', 'Hunter', Jacob in 'contrast' was a 'Dreamer' who typically 'sought' that which was 'beyond reach'. When Jacob steals 'Esau's blessing', he does that while wearing 'Esau's Clothes'. Isaac 'sniffs' him to 'determine' whether he was 'Jacob or Esau'. Isaac identified 'Jacob as Esau' before blessing him so he indirectly blesses 'Jacob' in 'Esau's Name'; which is why after fighting the Angel, the Angel names 'Jacob' 'Israel'; the battle was fought at 'Peniel' and a 'Pen' is a 'Home For Sheep'. Jacob's 'Dream Of A Ladder' between Heaven and Earth is a 'Dream Of A Portal Connecting Two Separate Realms'. The Angel names Him 'Israel' to point out that 'He is no longer just a Dreamer; or his Dreams are no longer out of Reach' but are now capable of becoming 'Reality'. In doing so the Angel gives him the Name 'Jacesau', the sort of Name like 'Vegito' or 'Gogeta'; the 'Fusion of Goku and Vegeta' to 'point out that' Jacob and Esau are no longer two separate things but 'One' thus indicating that 'Dreams and Reality' are not 'separate' from 'each other'.
'Logic' is the Foundation of 'Justice and Truth'. Dreams are the Foundation Of 'Goals, Hopes and Ambitions'. 'Goals' are 'unachievable' without 'Logic, Justice and Truth'. 'Logic' is 'incomplete' without a 'Goal to direct that effort towards'.
Any 'Quest' a Gamer undertakes contains 'the two Elements Of Goals and Logic/Effort'. How the 'Gamer balances those two things is what Efficiency is all about'. 'Efficiency is about achieving more with less; achieving a lot while minimizing waste'. It contains elements of both 'discipline and dedication' as well as Motivation'.
Amount (Reward) = Principle (Discipline) + Interest (Motivation/Desire).
When a person has greater Principle than Motivation; he eventually becomes disillusioned with the Task at hand.
When he has greater Interest than Principle, his goals remain forever out of reach.
Balancing these two are what 'Amount/Rewards' are all about; it is this 'Efficiency' that 'Games are all about hence 'Jacesau'.
Games are all about 'solving Puzzles'. Puzzles are representative of 'Logic' which derives its 'Essence from Balance, Justice and Truth'.
Every 'Monster' or 'Boss' on the Game's Field, every 'Trade', 'Job System' and 'Quest' are all 'Questions/Puzzles'. The 'Monsters are all Questions' the sort of thing 'Temptations or Tests' are all about. Every move they make is a 'Question' the 'Player must answer'. The Player 'avoids damage and gets Stat Boosts and New Skills as a reward for every Question they 'Answer right'. That is 'Heaven'. The Player takes 'damage' or 'Penalties' in the Forms Of 'Debuffs', or decrease in 'HP and MP' for every question they 'Answer Wrong'. To every move 'a Monster makes', there is an 'appropriate move' that the 'Player can make that deals more damage to the monster than the damage inflicted on the Player'. The 'Number Of Penalties the Player takes in Proportion to the Damage they deal the Monster' is indicative of their 'Efficiency on the Battlefield'.
This is why a Player triggers a 'Game Over' the moment every member of their Party is annihilated. The Game Over is indicative of the 'Annihilation Of A Bloodline', the 'Extinction Of A Species', the 'Destruction Of A World', a 'Perfect Genocide'.
The Player needs to understand that the 'Decisions taken on the Battlefield' affect all 'Members Of His Party'; every act of 'Trade' big or small contributes to the 'overall success or failure of the Economy'. When a single hit of a Monster annihilates your Party, it is indicative of the fact that the 'Player is taking a lot of things for granted, potentially Fatal Things'.
The Question is simple 'How do you Balance this Lever?'.
The Concept Of Levelling up in order to defeat a Monster is all about 'Balancing your Effort/Skill' with your 'Load/Inventory'. To defeat Boss Monsters; this 'Load/Effort' Balance must be equivalent to the 'Strength Of The Boss Monster' who is 'Mr Perfect(100%)'.
STAT EFFECTS
These are questions related to 'How to Keep the Physical, Mental and Spiritual Health Of Your Party Members' at 'Optimum Levels'.
Every time you counteract a 'Debuff' or acquire a new 'Healing Skill', you create a 'New Cure' for a 'Disease' in the 'Game's World'.
'Cooking and Farming Skills' make your Party immune to 'Starvation'.
'Managing 'Shops' make your Party immune to 'Poverty and Associated Debuffs'.
Being a 'Bard', 'Musician' or 'Idol' in a 'Game' is all about 'Boosting Party Morale' which is why such are referred to as 'Stars'.
It is bad enough to 'enter a battle'; it is worse to 'enter a battle depressed or with Low Morale'. These are the things that trigger 'Uprisings', 'Protests', 'Assasinations' and 'Coup D'etats'.
Wise Leaders balance the 'Satisfaction Of Their Citizens' with 'Efficient Management Of Resources'.
Give a 'Citizen' more resources than they 'deserve' and you will have to 'work harder to compensate'; in worse case scenarios, there is an 'Increase in Taxes or Tolls'; 'Tolls' are indicative of 'Cumulative Exhaustion' or a 'Strain on the Economy'.
Give a 'Citizen' less than he 'deserves', the 'Motivation' factor slowly 'diminishes'; in the Worst Case, there shall be a 'Coup D'etat'.
Being a 'Guild Master' is like 'Leading an Organization or Ruling a Nation', you must 'manage the resources of the Guild prudently' to ensure that the 'Events In The Game' do not repeatedly 'Net Losses for your Guild'. Any 'Guild that misuses its resources' be they 'Human or Material' never 'ascends the Ladder Of Dominion'; this is what 'Impoverished Nations' are 'all about'.
Stats like 'Poison' are about managing Physical Health; the HP you need to survive as well as Attack Power (Penetrating The Sytem to your Advantage) and Defense Power(Guarding your System from Exploitation).
Stats like 'Confusion, Drain and Silence' deal with managing Mental Health; the MP you need to utilize Skills.
Stats like 'Curse', 'Zombie' and 'Desoul' are all about Managing 'Spiritual Health'.
Whenever you 'inappropriately answer a question 'posed' by a 'Monster', the reward you get is the 'sort of Penalty' a 'Sportsman' gets as a result of a 'Foul/Fowl'...so the cock crows. All this means is that you have 'exposed a Vulnerability' that the 'Monster can now exploit'.
