A profit of 3.4 billions.
An amount that Luvi has never ever imagined in his life.
Yes, the value of dollars was a lot lower than it was prewar. But inflation was everywhere and this much money was still not something just a group made up of 8 individuals can own.
Hell, at the end of the day, this is his money alone. And if not for the goal of supporting those under him. Luvi might have never given away this much money to anyone ever again.
Seeker: So you wish to support us with that money?. It is a lot. But I don't see how I can even use it.
DreamMachine: I understand what worries most of the people here. At the end of the day, the majority of us are just normal people. Without connections or ever methods to utilize this much money before getting some eyes on yourself.
DreamMachine: It's why I am leaving everything to FIX. He has shown enough of his capability and given me multiple reasons to trust him. He will also get the biggest cut of this money.
DreamMachine: As for the rest who are involved in creating your own group. Those under you need some salary as well. Along with reasons to work for us. And this money will be useful.
DreamMachine: And I don't intend to give out this money to them for free as well. All of you here will have a job to do. Which I will be giving out in a while.
The freest in the group currently were the four without any specific real life skill and hence were building up their own army.
Of course that was taking them lightly at most. Because a total of two of them have shown immense promise on their own.
One being someone that has started to go on multiple hunts by taking advantage of his country's corruption and their lack of care over low level dungeons.
And of course, this individual was none other than Flute, also known as Jabari.
He, along with some of his trusted friends have started to enter dungeons under the protection of someone powerful from his friends family.
And through using the influence of this powerful family, he had been able to collect a bit of blood for his training technique which would make him the ultimate human.
As for the rest of his crew, under the agreement of Luvi, they were given a downgraded version of a similar technique for their use, just so that they too become enthusiastic about hunting for better blood.
Though, their hunts never go that great, because at the end of the day. None of them are white star hunters. And if not for the protection of a blue rank hunter from Jabari's friends family. Many in his group might have died.
On the other hand, the other group that showed some promise was Nightmare.
He was young.
Like really really young.
Living in Myanmar which was a bit behind in the world of hunters, it gave someone as young as him the perfect chance to shine.
But considering his ability is something like complete silence, where he can kill every sound around his body. He still goes unnoticed by many around him.
Though the reason which makes Nightmare special is the group that is working under him.
Luvi didn't know where Nightmare found such weird guys, who were so much into the occult. But it didn't matter much.
The reason was simple.
'These guys have found some weird signs among major corporations.'
From these weird signs, Luvi meant the signs of Immortal activity.
When most of the world didn't even know the existence of these Immortals. A bunch of people led by a guy even younger than Luvi were able to find traces of Immortal existence hiding in plain sight among some major corporations.
And their reason was simple as well.
"All the major corporations are headed by Wizard Lizards."
A shitty conspiracy like this had driven those guys to find their secrets and they succeeded as well.
"So are they wizards that became lizards?"
"No no.. they were Lizards that became wizards."
"Then wouldn't they be the Lizard Wizards?"
"Nol how can that be, first they were just Lizards that just happen to be wizards. So Wizard Lizards."
Luvi still remembers the childish conversation among these conspiracy theorists that devolved into what the term wizard lizard. And hence, Luvi chose to stay away from these weird people, no matter how talented they might be.
But, this still gave him some ideas. He understood that for these men to find such information from around the world. It means their real life counterparts or identity might be very useful.
So Luvi gave Nightmare a simple job.
"Find their location, these lizard wizards that is."
Nightmare: "It's Wizard Lizards."
And it took a huge self control on Luvi's part to not murder Nightmare then and there as well.
But that was it.
There were still two remaining individuals with not so pronounced achievements like the rest of the group.
FIX was like the ultimate guardian of the group, capable of doing virtually anything and helping Luvi the most.
Aoto was the drug maker of the group and the man responsible for creating the serum.
As for Lev, after he had successfully left the auction house and took multiple baths to wash off the smell. He was responsible for building the site once again, though his real ability and job would be something much more important.
As for Jabari and Nightmare, who is also known as Davi. They were doing lots of great things of their own.
Leaving two individuals who haven't produced any results under the freedom that Luvi has given them.
DreamMachine: "The group you created… isn't that just one of the many groups that are active these days? Helping each other with techniques and other things?"
Seeker: "I won't deny that. I haven't been able to find a direction on where to go from here. Though I did find some promising individuals through this group."
Luvi smirked at this line.
What promising individuals.
The thing he needs is not individuals, but a whole army.
DreamMachine: "But that is not what we want. You should be aware of why I am doing this. You were one of the most curious ones, the one to ask the most questions. You should be aware of what we need to do. And strive in that direction. Sitting around with an excuse won't help."
Luvi didn't like lazy people, even though he considered himself to be one.
It was like when a service industry worker took a while to bring your food. You will be angered at him and might even curse him for his lateness. Even if you are just sitting around and skipping school or your work.
The same was true here.
As for Seeker, she didn't expect such a response from DreamMachine. Miriam understood that she might have disappointed DreamMachine.
So instead of following up on her excuse. She directly asked.
Seeker: "What direction should I bring this group toward?"
DreamMachine: "We have an assassin, a pharmacist, a mechanic, a bunch of proper hunters and a whole group of weird information collectors, well let's call them conspiracy theorists."
DreamMachine: "But as it is… majority of these people can't act in the open. And that's where you will come in."
The heavenly stain needed a face, someone that would act as spokesperson for Luvi as well as the rest of the group members.
And knowing Seeker's talent as well as her nature. She was perfect for this job. Hell, it would even give Alfin an excuse to properly learn where she stands or if she holds any bad intentions toward his group.
Seeker: Sorry… but I can't do this.
A straight denial. And it was not like Luvi didn't expect this.
The job of being a spokesperson for a group like his carried immense danger to not just one's life. But those around her as well.
DreamMachine: I am not asking you to do that now… get stronger. Learn some face changing spells which I will send you in a while. And then use those men to build your own company. As for money and resources, I will provide that for you, as well as FIX's connection from the Wulfer family will also become useful.
DreamMachine: And just so you know… I am not asking you to do it. I am ordering. Everyone has to do their part.
Luvi was a lot harsher than before when talking to Seeker.
But this was needed for a better future. Someone without a spine won't be much of a help in future. So he needs people that can stand face to face with the upcoming danger.
And seeing the harsh nature of DreamMachine's words, Miriam also understood that there was no other way.
Things might have been different if she had achieved something with the group she made like the other two. But she didn't.
No, it was more like she couldn't. Because at the end of the day, she was still a student.
Seeker: I will try my best.
That was all she could say at this point. The only thing she can say.
