Luvi was a lazy guy, so the subjects he picked as his majors were theoretical based ones.
Majority are computer related, but few like history because he liked it.
If not for the mandatory CQC training, he would never have had to move his body at all.
Now, he was looking forward to it.
'That old man also seems to be practicing palm techniques.'
CQC was a combat style made to take down opponents in instant fashion with rarely ever a weapon used. The most it used was either a knife or a pistol.
But none of them were allowed in the academy, they had their own separate classes. So CQC in the academy is entirely confused on hand to hand combat and takedowns. Making it very compatible with the fist and palm techniques he had released.
It was why he was looking forward to his class. Teacher Daarun was someone with a famous past and he had the talent to back up his reputation.
Meaning it won't be odd if someone like him had an edge when practicing his techniques. And with how similar the fist and palm techniques are. He might even be able to ask for professional help from him.
Though that was for later.
"Oye! I told you to do it in moderation… Now look at what happened." Luvi said in a condescending way, but he got no response. "Hey miss… you alive?"
"Kuluvi, is there something wrong?" Then the voice of the teacher came, who didn't seem to like him much. But why would she?
Luvi was infamous for his brash mouth.
"Teacher… this chick next to me might be dead." Luvi's speech differed depending on the individual he talked to.
To those he held respect, he was a lot more genuine. But to those that showed their displeasure toward him for no reason, Luvi didn't mind being a bit more vulgar.
But this was class and the history teacher reprimanded in response. "Speak with proper words, this is class not your house."
"As for her, let her rest. Unlike you, she has a genuine problem." The teacher explained, showing a hint of pity toward the girl who seemed to be embarrassed when the attention was attracted towards her once more.
"Hah? Then why is she here?"
"Hey you, why are you here?"
And like that, Luvi was kicked out of his class and earned a detention for disturbing the class.
Which he left with a bright smile on his face.
'One down.'
He counted.
His current plan was simple.
Become a bit of a nuisance that the teachers hate having him in the class. But while also not being too much of a problem that you get suspended like others.
So a bit of moderation was needed, just like he had told that young woman from the morning.
'But what is her problem?'
Luvi ignored her and as he was free from the class. He chose to visit Andy in his monster hunting class.
Though it was named like that, the class was theoretical based and taught students about the nature, biology and weakness of various monsters found in dungeons.
It was a mandatory class for all those that wished to be hunters.
So Luvi, taking his detention slip in his pocket, rushed toward Andy's class to see how he survives among others.
'A bullied guy who is weaker than others, he probably sits in the back.' Luvi thought, but when he came close to the class, he was surprised to find that Andy was sitting at the very front of the class and taking notes with each word of the teacher.
'...'
Which made him feel a bit bad.
To him, remembering things is easy, he doesn't need to take many notes and studying once is enough to give an exam.
But there were others like Andy, who lacked talent and only stood up at top through their hard work.
'I should go to the detention room.'
Ignoring his friend that was completely focused on his class. Luvi moved toward the detention room where only the problematic students were present.
And a room which was managed by PE teachers when they had no active classes.
'Teacher Daarun was free, which means there is a 30% chance that he is overseeing the troublemakers.'
A class goes on for two hours and it's only been thirty minutes since they started meaning there was still some time to talk with the teacher about his problem and tell him what he has been doing all alone in his room.
As for why he thought of this?
This was not an original plan, he only wanted to attend classes normally and waste his time.
But he changed his mind the moment teacher Daarun came to his 'rescue'.
'He is someone dependable.'
Instead of wasting his time in the academy, why not use that time to his advantage?
The knowledge in his head only taught him the method and pathways. And knowledge can never cover up for the lack of experience and direction.
He had never exercised nor had he understood the core tenets of combat arts.
Hell, he had never even fought before, making him lack the understanding of what was practical and what was not.
Something that Daarun understood due to his military background and CQC master.
His own awakened ability was pretty simple and direct. It increased his physical strength to an extreme level which was why he trained in CQC in the first place.
It was a combat technique that took direct advantage of his own powers.
"You are here… so early?"
Daarun was surprised, then a bit disappointed when he saw the yellow slip in Luvi's hand. "So troublemakers like others said."
Originally, he had assumed that Luvi was only being treated harshly for what he said during interviews and he was not a bad student in reality, just misunderstood.
And why wouldn't he think so?
The student in question has maintained himself in top 3 through multiple exams and even came second on the 1st semester major exam. So cliche wise, it would be odd for him to have a trash personality as it was in the rumors among the faculty.
But it would seem he was wrong.
He didn't even think the history teacher would have given him a false punishment out of personal reasons. Those kinds of incidents are too controversial and dangerous for a teacher to do. So without any real reason, they don't give out yellow slips to just anyone.
"Yes teacher… part of it is due to me being a bit annoying and part of it is because I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Is this some sort of excuse for that yellow slip?"
"No, let me just show you." There was no need to hide and as it was early morning, the detention room was also empty. So Luvi lifted his hand, much to Daarun's confusion and then took off his glove. Exposing his bandaged palm to Daarun.
"You are practicing those techniques as well." Daarun said it directly after noticing the abrasion on Luvi's hand.and how swollen they were. "And ahead of a lot of people."
Daarun said as he took Luvi's hand and started to feel it with his own. "Hmm, these injuries seem severe."
"Its why I wanted to talk to you teacher."
Luvi pointed towards Daarun's hands. "You seem to be in a similar state, but your injuries are a lot lighter. I was curious how you did it."
"You… What have you been doing in your room all this time."
"Nothing actually, not until those techniques were released in the world. And only a fool will abandon a god given opportunity like this."
Hearing those words, Daarun's eyes shone a bit.
The one class that Luvi always failed was the CQC one as he never came to the class nor did he ever do any practical training during the exams.
If not for his pass, he would have never been given a passing score in CQC and hence advance to semester two.
But the pass has expired and Luvi knew that he would have to eventually do physicals anyways.
So why not take advantage of it and train till he feels content.
"I can see your hard work and can even help you in your practice. But I can only help your few hours on specific days. Majority of your classes are still theory based."
"Hmm!"
"Don't worry teacher, those classes are easy for me and I also have a perfect method."
"All I request of you is to place a request to the vice principal, when the time comes."
Daarun was a simple and honest teacher. He was not well versed in teacher's politics and had the habit to be direct.
Which was a good thing for Luvi.
While Luvi shared his experience with practice with Daarun, in his heart, he had other thoughts.
'Well, he seems interested in me, so he probably would do his best to keep me close to him and teach me so that I don't waste my talents.
"Your rating might be bad, but from what I see. These techniques are truly godsend and it won't be long before the rating system becomes a thing of the past."
"We can only hope so."
