Chapter 11 - 1.05.1 No worries.

-StarHusky has entered the chat

Starhusky: Am I the first one? Wuf *nudges her nose cutely*

Seeker: Not the first.

-Nightmare has entered the chat

Nightmare: …

Starhusky: Another one who joined the wolf pack. Nights will be warm OwO.

Seeker: …

Nightmare: …

Radworm: Furry… *blows his head.

-Flute has entered the chat

DreamMachine: I see everyone I messaged has joined already. Ignoring the childish banter, I wish to first inform you who I am and why I brought you here.

A weird man with weirder habits, that is the perfect way to define Luvi.

Few people in the world understood his true nature, who he was and what actually got him going.

But even fewer would be aware that there is one thing Luvi loved more than anything in the whole wide world.

It was to larp as a woman on the internet so that others might drop their guard around him and even though many knew about the rule of no woman on the internet, very few actually followed it and always fell for the larpers who only wished to cause pain or had some other intention behind it.

And for someone like Luvi, who was used to manipulations. This was the most basic thing to do while on the internet.

Moreso on a private chat with people who if learned about his true identity can cause risk to his life.

DreamMachine: Let's get one thing out of the way. I awakened earlier than other kids in my generation. But due to the specific nature of my power no one actually found out about it. Nor were they able to sense it during the test. Nor did I ever wish to expose it to the world as well. So if you think you can find me by looking up my ability. Forget about it.

Though he acted that way, it didn't mean he would go out of his way to inform other people of his gender. He won't speak, but his habit and the way he worded his words changed a bit. It was done in an attempt to not sound too desperate or make it seem like he wished to be known as a woman.

Let those that talk to him come to their own conclusion. A conclusion which will be solidified as he talks more.

DreamMachine: Second, please stray away from childish banter and generic degeneracy. I brought you here for a reason. And it's a very important one as well. So please keep the chat clean.

DreamMachine: Third; As you might have expected, yes I do have advanced techniques, spells and martial arts that utilize the strength you gained through this. But I can't give it out for free. Though don't worry, I am not looking to earn money from it. Not from you people at least.

Luvi was glad that no one disturbed his small rant. Though it was not a rant but more like him coming clean to these people so that they don't waste time as they started their conversation.

DreamMachine: Fourth and last. Before we begin our talk, I would like to tell you one thing. No, I don't intend to make a cult or anything. I am just looking for a co-operative relationship with you people. So if you had thoughts like that before or were scared. Don't be. I am just a normal human being like all of you. I play games and go to school. With the only difference being my nights, where I will drift to the dream of another world.

After saying all of this, a slew of typing was seen in the chat window.

Flute: Can we really rival those superheroes?

This was the most predictable question that Luvi was ready to answer. But before he can give that out.

A person that hasn't spoken since the start asked.

Impala: Sorry if it sounds offensive. But this seems too good to be true. I am curious. Why would you do this? Selling this kind of knowledge to governments or organizations would net you more money. Same for your ability which seems to be able to do more than just dreaming the dreams of another world. What is it you want?... Specifically from us?

Impala's question was way more direct and sounded disrespectful. But after he typed it, no one spoke.

Even they were curious about who this person was and why they were doing all of this.

DreamMachine: The reason? Let's just say, I have some trust issues and its a personal matter as well. The other reason is to prevent monopoly and another war from happening. Imagine if a certain organization obtained this miraculous method white their competitors didn't. What would happen? As for you.

Before Luvi can type the rest of the excuse. His real reason was exposed by another member that had been hiding for a long time.

Fix: We are just there to take on the heat. The scapegoats to be sacrificed if something goes wrong.

Reading this, Luvi's eyes gleamed with interest.

He was caught, there was no denying it. So Luvi directly typed.

DreamMachine: Yes, I only wish to use you as proxies to disperse the knowledge in my hand to the world. The reason for the use of this method. I can't say. But it's for my own security and nothing more.

DreamMachine: Truth be told, I took a lot of risks by posting that knowledge on the internet. I can't explain or even tell you why. But let's just say, I am a coward.

Seeker: What kind of danger are you talking about?... Would this put us in danger as well?

StarHusky: UwU I don't mind any danger Dreamy. Just want to become what I was always on the inside.

Nightmare: …

Nightmare: Furry.

Luvi was not that surprised to see that some in the chat were not talking this seriously. He understood the kind of people that were present on that accursed website. So even if these people were the smartest in that place, they were very weird as well.

With only exception being StarHusky, who, while being the smartest person in the group, acted the most childish.

Fix: This danger… This world you steal this information from… is it really close?

Fix was the oddest one.

He actually entered the chat out of luck. Because ahead of him were StarHusky and Seeker as 1st and 2nd. If not for him choosing a different admission ticket for them. Fix might not have even entered the chat.

But the way he is speaking and the amount of information he is able to assess on his own was immense.

And although he got some things wrong. But when looking at the overall picture, it was not much different.

DreamMachine: That world is close… I give a few years at most.

These words were enough to work as a bomb in the chat. Causing the playful nature of some members to die down.

*****

TruthSeeker or Seeker for short.

Her ability was to find true from false, but it only worked when she was in front of an individual speaking those words.

Though even without that ability. She can feel something. A sense of despair that was harder to explain.

'Is this the reason?'

If the words this person has said and there is a civilization capable of creating techniques like these. It might be possible for that civilization to completely overtake the current humanity.

As for this alternate world being false?

It didn't seem to be the case with the formation of Dungeon spaces. To most of the world, those places were born after the intersection of two worlds. So if one was earth, what was the other?

'Dreams from another world, it's the world closest to us.'

Seeker understood that the chance she was seeking was not something to be obtained for free.

If she chose to proceed with whatever plan DreamMachine was making, her future might not be bright. No, there might be a future for her left. The life she dreamed would be taken apart by someone who called themselves DreamMachine.

Wouldn't it be ironic?

And to begin with, she only joined this chat out of curiosity. She didn't expect a bombshell like this to drop. There was also the fact that the tool through which she can control this power was available freely to the public.

There is no need to further involve herself in this.

'But they are close.'

From what the Dream machine said, this world was close to us and if they did come to earth, wouldn't it mean an end to her normal life to begin with.

It was also then she started to remember the day when she got her gift.

She was happy, imagining her future working for the government. She was sure that her ability had given her a golden ticket to an easy life.

Though those illusions were shattered the moment she was covered with others, she can feel the envy, lies and emotions they hid.

She can even feel the hate her parents had for each other and how they just put up a front in front of her so that she doesn't feel bad.

The people she once considered her friends are also talking behind her back. Hating her for things she was not capable of changing.

Knowing all this, even if she gets strong enough to control her ability. Would things still go back to normal?

'There is no going back.'

She understood what she needed to do.

Seeker: I don't mind the danger.
