I was on the verge of losing my sanity. Something went wrong with my one-year plan. It was because of Kalina Sanders, that girl had to always keep herself in my business, it was because of her that I couldn't kill Leslie.
Tears peaked in the corners of my eyes but I had to stay sane for the sake of my sister, she would think that I was a failure if I didn't do this for her. I needed to do this for her. I wiped my eyes hastily and opted for the back up plan.
I phoned Vera instantly.
As soon as she answered, I outed her sister's whereabouts, "Kalina is in Hal's Cafe near the school. If I see her anywhere near me, I won't hesitate to kill her and if you dare utter my name in front of the police, I will make sure to let them know your sister was involved in this."
I hung up and threw the phone across my bed.
Brushes of infuriation swept through me as I attempted to breathe through my nose for the second time, I was undeniably consumed with hate, that burning feeling made my stomach tighten and made my heart rush faster than its usual pace. I had it all under control and I couldn't stop rethinking about what happened. I let my overthinking drown my existence as I paced back and forth, then looked at the clock in my room.
It was about to be midnight. I spent the last two hours collecting information from the police who found Leslie, he stayed in the Armenian Community Hospital, the fifth floor on the left corner. I had some connections in the investigation department and I was going to go at midnight. This time, nobody would be able to stop me. Not even that wild brunette girl.
Plan B: a hospital visit to where he was. I was going to make his life a living hell just like what he made me go through and even worse.
I took my phone with my heart across my sleeves, the mask that covered my face was evidence enough that I would make it tonight. I was going to end the human curse.
Without Kalina this time. I promised myself many times that I would be merciless, that I would be just like the stones and rocks. Soltitude was my only savior, not a care in the world dawned on me about what was going to happen to me.
My parents were asleep, and I was going to steal dad's car. I fished the keys out of my back pocket that I took when he had his dinner.
With a fast paced body, I ignited the blue Mercedes and drove in a flash as soon as the garage door opened. The night had stars, the deadly stars that stared at me as the wind warned me to stop, through stinging eyes and firm hold on the steering wheel, I was there within ten minutes. I parked on the side, a few miles away from the hospital. Nobody was around, Yerevan didn't have night walkers, especially around the hospital.
I pocketed the keys after I closed the door and sped towards the hospital through the emergency exit, with my photographic memory, I zoomed through each sign that stated the floor number and ignored the aching tingles that shot through my calves when I went through the stairs in a haste.
Floor 05. The sign shone at me like it was the grand prize. I opened the staff door, most of the nurses were in the ICU and the hospital was known to have the shittiest service.
I whispered to myself in motivation as I drew the door open only by a bit to be able to peak through it. I saw the empty hallway and there were only two people on the other end, their backs to me as they chattered.
As per the investigators, Leslie had a temporary coma due to the cold brain freeze since he landed on his head from the slippery hill. I got closer to his door after quick seconds of running. The hospital made it easier for me because they weren't rich enough to install security cameras. It was the closest to Leslie, but it was mainly concerned with druggies.
I turned the knob and found my prey. He had his eyes closed and his hands limp on his sides as the life support mask was on his nose and mouth, a few needles in his skin.
With a smile of my own, I gripped the pillow as I neared him and with the other hand, I lifted the oxygen from his lips.
