Amanda gulped again looking at the man in much fear. "Sorry boss. I... I actually tripped on the way and... and... also...."
"And also, a beast came out of the bushes to attack you? Is not it?" The man spoke up sarcastically. "Do you think I pay you for coming late!!? Do you think you are some sort of royal princess who can come as per her own time!!? One more time it happens and you are fired! Now get that lazy head behind the counter and start working!!!" The man bellowed at the top of his voice, making the girl to shudder.
The girl jumped in fear and instantly rushed towards the counter, taking her place. She soon started to arrange the glasses. She then took a wet cloth from one corner of the shelf and started to clean the entire counter, making it shine like a brand new surface.
The fat boss of the bar was glaring at Amanda from a distance, making sure she does her job perfectly.
"Can I have a martini please." A middle aged man sitting in the other corner raised his hand, signalling his order to Amanda.
"Coming right up Sir." Amanda gave a polite smile immediately picking up a glass and a gigantic bottle from the shelf. She poured the drink and walked with a serving tray towards the two men, busy talking to each other. "Anything else, I can get you?"
"No! That will be all for now." Spoke the man, taking the sip of the Martini.
Amanda walked back towards the counter, when she heard the door of the pub open. She turned around and saw a handsome man with slicked back hair and dark eyes, entering the pub. The girl was a little taken aback, not expecting to see the same man again but nevertheless she had to admit that he was extremely good looking.
He took off his long black over coat, hanging it on a stand, while he took the seat in a corner, looking at the hand- written bar menu. Amanda let out her usual polite smile and walked upto him. He was dressed in a dapper black suit, a little out of the place as compared to his surroundings. "Welcome Sir, how may I help you?"
The boy looked up, his dark eyes looking straight in her blue eyes, making the girl feel a little intimidated. "Ah, I did not expect to this beautiful face again. I hope you are not thinking that I am probably stalking you." He gave a slight mysterious smirk to her.
"Of course not sir." Amanda was trying hard to sound normal, even though she was feeling a bit uncomfortable under his piercing gaze. "So, what would you like to have today?"
The man smirked a bit again, constantly looking at the girl. "You....."
Amanda was about to open her mouth when the man further spoke his scentence.
"You... do have much variety over here. I think... I can have a bloody Marry." He nodded his head as if giving a confirmation of his order.
"Very well sir." Amanda smiled and then walked away towards the counter. "What a strange man." She frowned a bit, as she quickly started to gather the ingredients of the drink.
