An electrifying spark ignited from the center of my palm where his lips had touched, and it sizzled like gasoline catching fire, burning and spreading all the way to each of my fingertips, and down all the way across the length of my arm, until the entirety of my being was doused in the ignition of his flaming electricity.
"Vasilis," I breathed.
Common sense told me to run. To pull my hand from his, and not allow myself free fall into the dark web he had spun over the bottomless chasm behind his Tartarean eyes. But I wasn't really in the mood to listen to common sense or even acknowledge its existence at that moment.
Silence stretched between us. He was nuzzling the side of his face against my palm now, his hair tickling my skin.
'What the water gave me' continued to blast from his headphones inside my ears. But the longer I held his stare, the more the song seemed to fade into the background.
