Synopsis
Kazuya Sato is thought as an asshole by mostly everyone. He actually hates the 'Youth filled with genuine friendship and love' delusion that all teens in Japan are infatuated with, so he thinks of it as a plus. He also trained his body and mind quite a bit because of his chunni days. But because of living in a standard school life light novelish world, he can't live the loner life he desires. WARNING: late romance and harem, no fan service, hopefully no rom-com base for romantic feelings (outlandish shit like; I saw him only once in my life but my heart fell for him or he protected me from bullies during elementary and we never talked again, I am in love with him), there is bromance and not all males in the novel are mobs or extras that don't matter in the story(no homo)

Chapter 1 - The Reluctant Consultant 01

Hitomi Kurosawa P. O. V

I woke up and the nausea is killing me already. Shouldn't have drunk that much last night. I picked up my phone and deleted all my photos with that jerk.

Oh God, my house is a mess. I started picking up the things on the floor and cleaning my house. My head is still ringing.

'Oh shit, I am gonna be late'. Without any delay, I started making breakfast and left my house. I reached the school just 10 minutes before my first class begins.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"....And this is basically how the plot goes".

Just as I finished my summary, I noticed that Kazuya was as usual doing his own thing. *sigh*, how do the other teachers not see him looking at his phone that's inside his pencil bag? I won't complain cause he is actually studying higher-level stuff and his grades in the first semester were still at the top of the class. But other teachers will find it humiliating. How does someone this gifted not know basic etiquette? On the other hand, Yukiko is still paying close attention to my lecture even though she probably finished this before the first semester. Such a smart and disciplined girl. I wish this brat would be more like him. Though I wish she was less cold to people.

My pause probably made my students feel awkward. So I continued,

".... Since the brief summary is out of the way, now let's go to the main part."

As I had finished the first paragraph of the literature, I realized I only had two minutes left.

"...Okay kids, I will continue from here tomorrow. Also, Kayato, please collect the assignment from everyone."

Wait, did I just notice a smirk on Kazuya's face? It's probably some meme on the internet. Soon enough, Kayato collected all the

assignments and gave them to me. That's exactly when the bell rang. A class well done, good job, Hitomi. I took the paper and quickly went to my desk, put them in the right place, and went to my next class. My next class was in class A. I went into the class and everyone greeted me.

All seats were filled except one. Did Yoshino skip today too? He was absent for nearly a week. I wonder what's going on. I started my lecture.

".... So that's where we would be ending it today, any questions?"

A girl raised her hand.

"Yeah, tell me your question".

After answering her question, I heard the chimes ring again.

Haah, in these four years, I became used to this monotonous life. I can't say that I hate it. After all, you get to meet troublemakers like Haruhi sometimes. It seemed like a pain for me to deal with at first, but now I learned to enjoy the anomalies in my tedious life. Speaking of Haruhi, her sister isn't making any friends. Yukiko is the complete opposite of Haruhi, yet similar in so many ways too.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hello, Ms. Hitomi".

"It's sensei".

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever."

"So, you know why I called you, right? ".

"Yes".

" You know, you can't just joke through life like this."

"I don't see a problem with being honest."

" You are only honest when it's to piss other people off."

"You know me well. But that doesn't invalidate the fact that I was being honest".

And there he goes again, trying to change the topic.

" Don't try to change the topic".

" Okay".

Does this brat even know how much trouble he had caused me in the last six months? Who am I kidding? Of course, he would.

" First, you outright refuse to give the first-year speech. Then, you humiliate the MMA club by beating them all up. You skip class whenever you like. And now, you write, 'Anything that pays an astronomical amount of money or a house husband' in your future career thoughts ."

"So, students are supposed to want to be poor?"

" You know exactly where the problem lies. Your problem is your cynicism and your primordial urge to mess with optimistic people who hold the concept of society and its values in high regard."

" Thank you for stating the obvious, Ms. Hitomi."

He is still looking around the student guidance room.

"At least bother to look at me when you are talking".

*sigh* "You know, you can't function as a proper member of society if you keep acting without respecting the etiquette and mutual respect that society is built upon. And your worldview would push you outside of society."

" And that is exactly what I want."

"But not what you need, Kazuya".

"Haah, How I wish all of this cynicism of yours was just an edgy phase! Anyway, please rewrite this. I would be needing to submit it to the school. It would be a bigger hassle for you if someone else reads it".

He only does this because he knows the person reading it is me.

"Okay".

He slid the door and looked outside. After that, he closed the door again and looked me in the eyes.

"Don't drink too much the next time you get dumped by some fuck boy".

I was too stunned to speak. He left after saying that.
