Chapter 2 - The Reluctant Consultant 02

Ms. Hitomi POV

I should start reviewing those essays. I told them to write about their first-semester life and youth. As it is a subjective essay, I can't really judge what they write apart from grammar mistakes.

'Oh, it's Kazuya's essay'.

"The fuck is this?"

That bastard just drew a map of the entire second building. He even bitched about all his classmates and named it psychoanalysis.

*sigh* "Well, at least he is smart enough to not use their actual name or physical characteristics".

if anyone finds out he could just say he found it on the internet and found it funny. It's dumb but knowing him, he could probably convince most of them to believe that bullshit. Time to read his conclusion. knowing him it would probably be something stupid.

" High schoolers are a bunch of hypocrites who think the world revolves around them. Well, most normies certainly are. They subconsciously excuse their sins, failures, and laziness with the word 'youth'. They believe that they are young and that's why it's okay to do whatever they want. They will twist any prevalent interpretation of what 'Youth' is to excuse themselves of their accountability and responsibility for their actions. Yet, they only use this excuse called 'youth' when it benefits them. If failure is a part of youth, then failing to socialize with other high schoolers would also be acceptable. If love and friendship are part of this 'youth', a peer shouldn't be seen as a lesser being if they get rejected. If 'youth' is the happiest time of life and the time when we find ourselves, a person shouldn't have to hide their interests to fit in with their so-called 'friends'. They would subconsciously try to cover up the fact that they are assholes with this word. They would try to make themselves feel better and give their empty 'youth' of wearing masks to keep their friends meaning by ridiculing those with different interests and lesser abilities. They would also bitch about those with greater abilities behind their backs to appease their sense of inferiority. So quoting from a popular piece of non-mainstream literature, 'Youth is a lie'."

He isn't entirely wrong about 'youth'. But he doesn't even pay heed to the good of 'youth', only the bad part. He even referenced oregairu in a school essay.

*sigh* what should I do with this kid? I can't force him to join a club like Hiratsuka. We don't even have a club like that so I have to make one.

.....,..

wait, I guess it's not a bad idea.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You called, Ms. Hitomi?"

"It's sensei".

"Yeah, yeah, whatever".

"You know why I called you, right?"

"I would rewrite the essay".

"Nope, we had the almost same conversation 6 times by now. You aren't gonna change if I let this be".

" So, what are you gonna do? Force me to join a club?"

I couldn't hold back my smile. He looked shocked.

"Please tell me that smile is you just messing with me".

I still had that smile on my face.

"This isn't anime, Ms. Hitomi. Something that stupid won't work. Besides, how are you going to make me accept it? "

I am still smiling.

" You aren't planning on telling my mom about this, are you?"

His biggest weakness. Ah, Aunt Rin, the only person Kazuya listens to. I knew Aunt Rin since I was young. She is like a family to me, now.

"Now, now, come along, we need to go to your new club room at building 03".

.

.

.

.

Where did I put my keys? Ah, here it is.

"Now, now, don't be shy, it's your club after all."

Oh, I need to give him the form.

"You know, Ms. Hitomi. The only reason the service club thing worked for Hachiman is that Hachiman had a goddamn harem. If you give any man a kuudere and a Genki that are romantically interested in him, he would forget even the definition of cynicism."

"Who is stopping you from getting a Kuudere? All you have to do is get Yukiko to fall for you".

"If I could do that, I wouldn't be complaining about 'youth', would I? Besides, what kind of teacher talks like that?"

" What? You are the one that asked."

"So, what's the name of the club? We are not calling it service club, are we?"

"No, the name is going to be consultation club".

"So, I am going to be advising a bunch of horny teenagers".

"Not just advice, actual physical help if needed."

He suddenly had a smile on his face.

"Ms.Hitomi, the meaning of 'consultation' in every mainstream dictionary doesn't include physical help. How do you forget the meaning of a simple word, when you got a double major in psychology and Japanese from Tokyo University?"

Why does he always attack me in my weak spot? My face is burning because of the embarrassment.

"Shut UP".
