Robert's pov
One day, me and Blaise are walking down the market street in the town of Peacewood, my hometown actually, many of the townspeople admired our parents' heroic deeds during the war. We were shopping for food and some supplies for my sister's alchemy work when this happened. We were a bit nervous and anxious, knowing that we stand out so much thanks to our parents' legacy.
Then, finally we reached a food stand that sells fresh vegetables.
"Welcome to my stand," the owner of the stand said to us with greetings. "What would you like? Our vegetables are fresh as usual."
"Oh, I would like 12 potatoes and 4 corn cobs, please," Blaise made a request nicely and politely.
In response to that, the owner of the stand gets 12 potatoes and 4 corn cobs and weighed them to determine the price.
"That'll be 28 gold coins," he said to us.
Blaise then get some coins from her pockets and give it to the owner, in the exact amount.
Receiving the money, the owner put our purchases in Blaise's basket and said to them, "Come again."
Blaise then grabbed her basket, and we left the stand and went back home.
Later at home, Blaise was cutting some potatoes and cracking some eggs for lunch, while I was studying magic upstairs.
Feeling that I was hungry, I went downstairs, only to see that Blaise was gone.
"Where is she?" I asked myself.
I then began going around the house to search for her, but to no avail.
Then, I went to the living room, only to hear a faint scream coming from outside. I then immediately went outside via the back door and backyard and into the forests via a back gate.
Moments later, I arrived to where the scream came from, to see my older sister being attacked by three green goblins. I can tell by their appearance.
"Come with us, human," one of them, the taller one, said to Blaise. "I'll marry you!"
"No way!" Blaise reacted in fear and disgust. "I don't want to marry you! I had a younger brother to take care of."
In response to that, that goblin and his two minions looked at me.
"That one?" one of them asked.
"He looked so cute and weak," another commented.
Blaise then looked at me and responded, "Robert-kun, what are you doing here? I told you to stay at home unless I am with you!"
"Big sister, I heard your scream." I boldly and seriously faced the goblins. "Are these goblins attacking you?"
"Y-Yes?"
"I'll take care of them then."
As Blaise begged me not to face them, I looked at the goblins. "Leave me and her alone! And don't you ever try to marry my sister!"
But, the taller goblin laughed at me. "What are you gonna do to us with your weak, tiny body." Then to his two minions, "Attack that boy!"
His two goblins did so, wield their weapons of axes, and charged at me.
"Robert-kun, no!" Blaise said to me in despair.
Then, I used Discharge, a Tier-1 magic, and electrocuted the two charging, armed goblins. They then both fell to the ground paralyzed, shocking their leader.
"You human bastard!" the taller goblin said to me in anger. "What did you do to them?"
"I just electrocuted them." I smiled with positive coolness. "But don't worry, they'll be fine."
That tall goblin clenched his fist and charged at me. "I'll tear you limb by limb!"
But, I just used Thunder Storm, a Tier-4 magic, and summoned clouds of thunder. It then rained down a series of lightning bolts from the clouds and struck the tall goblin severely, electrocuting him. He then collapsed to the ground in pain. After that, I dissipated the clouds, restoring the clear sky once more in that area. Blaise was stunned to see that.
Then, while the three goblins are struggling to get up, I said to them, "Now you see my true power. Now, get lost and don't touch my sister ever again."
Fearing my wrath, the three goblins grabbed their weapons, fell on their knees to apologize to me, and fled the scene back to their forest home.
Once that ordeal was over, I walked up to Blaise, give her a hand, and asked, "Are you okay?"
"Um, I'm fine." Blaise accepted my offer.
She then stand up and grabbed her basket, which was full of tomatoes.
"What were you doing out here?" I asked her.
"I forgot to buy some tomatoes back at the town market…" Blaise responded back a bit frantically, "…and I was thinking about getting some wild ones here. And then, those three goblins just appeared out of nowhere, and they tried to abduct me."
"I see," I replied back as I listened to her.
"I'm sorry for leaving you alone at home," she apologized to me while feeling bad for her actions.
"That's okay," I reassured in response.
Blaise then looked at me. "Huh?"
"I mean, you had taken care of me ever since mom and dad died," I replied back brightly with positivity, "and I appreciated that."
Realizing that she was being appreciated by her own younger brother, she gave me a deep hug while shedding some tears. "Thank you so much, Robert-kun."
"You're welcome, big sis," I replied back as I gave her a hug back.
After that, we discharged from hugging and went back home together.
And our brother-sister relationship grew and grew.
