Adrian leaned in and gently pressed his lips against mine. I froze, taken aback by the suddenness of the kiss. Before I could fully give in to the moment, he abruptly pulled away.
"Nothing happened, Angel," he smirked and walked away, leaving me feeling embarrassed and unsure. How could he be so mean?
I touched my cheeks, which were already turning red, and my heart, which was pounding loudly in my chest. The kiss was unexpected and brief, but it held tenderness and passion.
After standing there for a while, I headed upstairs to the room. I opened the door, but Adrian wasn't there. I wondered where he had gone. I entered and sat on the bed, my eyes scanning the room. Everything remained the same as we had left it. I wondered if I missed this place, this chaotic existence. Maybe I do, at least a little. There are some good things about it, like the luxuries it offers.
