Chapter 7 - Alexandria – Part 2

As they arrived at the large gate of the Alexandrian Palace, Nova could feel her heart hammering in her chest. There was no turning back now. She sneaked a glance at the vampire king — who has yet to tell her what his name was — noticing that his eyes was still that dark shade of red and showed no sign of changing back to its original color. It seems he was still in need of blood. Nova was not going to bother herself with it when he could get blood from anyone once inside the palace.

The carriage finally came to a stop at the front yard of the palace and after getting down from the carriage with the help of the vampire king, she could not help but stare in awe at the grand palace before her; even her home castle at Gestia could not compare to it. It was simply heavenly. The palace was so tall one would think it was built all the way to the sky, she even had to strain her head upwards just so she could look at it.

"Come on, darling. I have no plans of standing out here, staring at something I have seen countless times." He said snapping Nova out of her reverie.

The King led her up to his chambers and into the bedroom while she was trying to take in everything she was seeing. Only when he closed the door did she realize that she was inside a large, magnificent room which looked fitting for a King. Nova slowly started to panic.

"W- Why are we here? You are not planning to kill me now, are you?" She took a step back when he took one forward.

He smirked in amusement. "After blindly following me in here, you ask if I am going to kill you?" He took another step forward watching as she took two steps back away from him. This only made his smile grow wide. It seems smiling was the only thing he has been doing ever since he met the human princess.

"Make sure to treat her wounds properly." Nova turned confused at his statement. She looked behind her and noticed a woman who had a kit box in her hand and was standing by the window with a look in her eyes when told that she was jealous by the scene she had witnessed.

"Yes, Your Highness." The woman bowed as she spoke.

The king turned and walked to the door, opening it. He stopped to say, "I do not want to hear of any problems when you are done."

He said laying more emphasis on 'problems' before finally leaving the room and closing the door behind him.

"Get on the bed and lay on your back." Nova heard the female physician say and she went on to do as the woman had instructed so she could start with the treatment of her wounds.
