The entire room echoed with telephone rings and people talking in chorus. I guess this is really what should be expected from a publishing company. I could hear quarrels, and I suspect that that person was talking with their writer. It was not like I was not aware of the fact that some writers could be stubborn to the extent that they'd fail to meet their deadlines; Vic had warned me of that fact, too. I was told that I would be managing a few writers, but I think that does not make me an editor. On a brighter note, I would get to meet famous writers in the country, and who knows, it might be one of the very few authors whom I liked and admired.
