It had been days since Karl was arrested by the police, and yet Tazanna did not seem as enthusiastic as I had expected. Although I could feel that there was something wrong, I could not bring myself to ask her about it.
She would often space out, blankly staring at the wall, or read the same paragraph for fifteen minutes. I could tell that there was something weighing on her mind, and I was done taking guesses. I decided to talk with Zebin in case he knew something.
"I guess she knew by now that she was to forget everything about you after the curse was lifted." I stood up from my office chair. "Although I've no idea who told her, it's possible that she knows. That could be the reason why she seems so listless these days. I recommend that you talk with her."
I paced back and forth. "Isn't there something I can do so this doesn't happen? Wasn't my death enough for them? Do they really have to make her forget about me and I about her?"
