Marry? Me and Tazanna? I had always dreamed of that day— to see her in a white long gown, a veil on top of her head, her soft hands holding a bouquet of blue tulips, and with her mother and father on her sides as they march their way toward me. I can only imagine the joy it'd bring me. Although I am quite hesitant, we really were planning on getting married. Tazanna had everything ready— from the gown to the food. She was overjoyed, and it made me happy to see her like that. I had imagined her being the best mother to our children. She would cook them a lovely breakfast, wake them up with kisses and all their laughter echoing around the house.. I've had all these visions inside my head and have never felt so excited for my future with Tazanna, the woman I have only loved in my life.
But the situation is a lot different than before now.. I know for a fact that every decision we make right now is going to affect the future. Tazanna is moving faster than I expected, but it is understandable. If I were in her shoes, I would do the same. I think we both know that this life is not going to be any different— I am going to have the same fate and that is, to be killed. She wants us to do everything early before the 3rd of January 2034 comes around. We do have less than five months to get as much as information as we can, spend time with one another, do every little thing we had failed to do before my death; however, it is going to come much faster than we think. This is the reason why Tazanna has decided to do things in a quicker pace. She knows what she's doing. Tazanna is challenging the Gods, with the thought that if they could change the past, then she could change the future. This might just be her first step. This is one of the things that I loved about her, and while I could say that I am proud of her for doing things in her own way, she can never change the story of my death.
"Felix?" A knock came on my door, pushing it open, Piper's head pops in. "Do you have a sec?" I nod my head and she comes in, carefully closing the door. "I'd like to talk to you about this—" She gives me her tablet. "Don't freak out, bro. But I really do think you should know about it.."
EXCLUSIVE: BRYAN YERA WAS SEEN WITH POLLY WEST IN A FANCY RESTAURANT — HOLDING HANDS!?
"Do you think it's true? Has Taz already seen this? It's all over the media." My sister whispers beside me. My fingers scroll past down the article. There are plenty of pictures taken of Tazanna's father and this lady named Polly West. Tazanna's father is a famous actor if I hadn't mentioned that already, while her mother is a successful lawyer. If I am not wrong, Polly West is his leading lady on his upcoming series called: To The Moon and Never Back. Piper had distracted me from my thoughts by nudging me and pointed to my phone. "It's my future sister-in-law." Shit, she's seen it.
"Tazanna—" She did not let me finish.
"Do you think it's true? You don't, do you?" Her voice trembles as she speaks. This is the first time her father has had a scandal that involves a woman. Their family name has always been announced by the media, but they are all praises— how good of a lawyer her mother was and how successful are the dramas the starred her father. News like this one though, Tazanna had never expected it and she had never thought her father would get involved in a scandal, let alone with a woman. Her parents have been together for twenty-six years —they got married when her mother was pregnant with her— and Tazanna never witnessed a fight growing up until now. She must be feeling scared right now. I don't even think she is at home.
"Where are you?"
"I'm... at the park." My eyes found the clock, it is ten of three. Piper exited my room as my left hand grabs a coat and followed her out. The silhouette case just happened and if they find her alone... I don't even want to think about what will happen.
"I'm coming, stay where you are, okay?"
"Okay.." she whispers. I stormed out of my home and ran all the way to the park. It is not that far but will definitely take me fifteen minutes if I walk. Take a right turn at the intersection and I'll get to Tazanna's neighborhood, mine was on the left. We really don't live that far from each other which, as of this moment, I am very thankful of. I can get to where she is as soon as possible. I am catching my breath as my feet slide on the ground to a stop. Tazanna is by the swings; her eyes are focused on her phone as she throws her head back and sniffs hard. She is trying not to cry but the emotions she feels inside is much, much stronger than she is. One tear flows down her rosy cheeks as her breath comes out as a little cloud; the moon being the only source of light here at the park. Tazanna turns her head to my direction, our eyes locked, she stands and runs toward me. Her arms wrap around my waist and her face on my chest. Tazanna gripped my coat hard, I did not bother talking at all. My free hand runs past down her soft black hair, the other is patting gently on her back. We stayed in that position for about seven minutes, and when she has calmed down, Tazanna flashed me a bright smile. "Thank you for not speaking... I really appreciate it, Felix. I'm okay now."
"Are you really?" A sigh escaped her lips. Sitting back down on one of the swings and I, beside her. Why did I even ask her that? It is plain obvious that she is not fine. Her father was seen in the public together with a woman she hardly ever knows, considering the fact that both her parents are well-known— which also became the reason for her media popularity— Tazanna knows her name will be over the internet by tomorrow. "You should talk with your father about it, Taz.. I'm sure there's a reason why they met up. It could have something to do with their upcoming drama, babe. Don't make it harder for yourself."
"I am already twenty-six, Felix.. if this is true, what would the people call him? An old cheater?" She swings herself back and forth. "I've already had enough of the media people.. but because of this, I'm going to be tagged in so many photos and posts. I just know it. I'm already getting tired just thinking about it." I remained silent. The creaking sound from the swing is the only thing we can hear, then her phone pings. Tazanna takes it out and growls. "See?" She holds it up to my face and it reads: 'I cannot imagine having a cheater of a father. What's it like Hope Tazanna?'
I snatch the phone from her hand and shove it inside the pocket of my jeans, she said nothing about it, though her head is lowered and I could hear her sighing again and again. "You know.." She began. "This might be the Gods doing, too."
"What do you mean?"
Tazanna shrugs. "Well, they know I'm trying to change the future by doing things ahead of time. I have probably angered them, you know? So they did this. I bet they never want us to get married." My arm reached out for the swing she is on and pull it close to me. The gesture surprised Tazanna, her mouth is slightly open, and her eyes are big and wide. ".... What?"
"I don't like it when you think like that, Taz. There must be a reason why this has happened. In the past, nothing like this has ever been shown to the world. It is true that this is the Gods doing, but you still do not have everything figured out, do you? Why do you think something that has never happened before has occurred today?"
"What are you saying... Felix, do you know something?"
