It was one of the most heartbreaking days of Katrina's life. She was at Derick's funeral, the man with whom she was supposed to get engaged, but due to extreme jealousy, Philippe killed him and his entire family. Although Serafina had tried to stop him and talk some sense out of him, Philippe did not back down.
People were not wearing any colors other than black and white, and you could hear multiple sobs from the inside. It was on that day that Serafina and the rest realized how loved Derick and his whole family were; Philippe was overcome with guilt. Seeing that he had the power to make the media lie about the death of his friend, although he knew Derick would never like it, he attended his funeral.
"What are you doing here?" Katrina screamed, her voice echoing in the whole place as she pushed back the man who had killed her almost-groom-to-be. "How dare you come here after what you've done?"
