As Tel-Nu finished his preparations for his departure, his mind wandered to the last time he had ventured out into the vast dimension that awaited him yet again. He had gone to investigate a galaxy that had shown a promising scan result. Unfortunately the galaxy was populated and when he had arrived the inhabitants decided to attack him. He tried everything he could to deescalate the situation, however they were persistent and he had to eliminate the threat, raising his death count to one-hundred ninety seven trillion. Tel-Nu pulled up his status window.

Tel-Nu's eyes paused on the countdown. Hopefully this time will be successful. I can't do this many more times, Tel-Nu thought. He dismissed the status window and looked at the portal to the God Dimension. Colorful shades of blue and red swirls shimmering before him. Sadly the portal belied the true nature of the God Dimension. If the humans cannot achieve a high enough level of enlightenment they would be disintegrated just approaching the portal let alone survive the effects of the portal itself. With a sigh Tel-Nu shelved these worries and walked through the portal. To his surprise his surroundings were not what he was expecting.
"The arrival of the Elder God Trainee Tel-Nu as the Elder God Council expected," a sarcastic voice sounded. "Let the trial commence," said a booming voice. Tel-Nu shook his head and sighed. "How many times will you interfere with my objectives?" Tel-Nu asked. A being made of void responded to Tel-Nu's question. "Interfere we have not. Test You, the slayer of the God Council, we do." Tel-Nu focused on the speaker. "Test me? How?" he asked. "By the Trial of Epistemology of The One Above Many." responded another Elder God, this one the embodiment of light itself. "What exactly will this trial of yours entail?" Tel-Nu asked. "We merrily observe your decisions and reactions to the trail and if you succeed you will become an Elder God of your own right and be entitled to the galaxy you were seeking to investigate." said the Elder Gods in unison. "Fine, I accept your trial," Tel-Nu said.
"Choose your avatar, just think of that in which you embody and if it is true to your nature the avatar state will be achieved." said the Elder Gods in unison. Tel-Nu began to think about what exactly he embodied, his values and his objective. He thought about Thor, but it didn't feel right, then Odin the All father and still it didn't feel right. He thought about his actions and decisions. Reflecting on this his mind came to Ares the god of war and still it didn't quite match him. Then his viewpoint shifted again. Hermes. Yes, Hermes best reflects his current nature. As his mind settled on Hermes, light began to surround Tel-Nu. Increasing in intensity and wrapping itself around him like a cocoon. Tel-Nu closed his eyes and let the light flow around him and through his body soaking it in like a dry sponge.
Oblivious to the Elder Council's watchful gaze, Tel-Nu focused solely on the light encasing him. The Elder God Council on the other hand was completely shocked. The God of Void turned to the God of Light. "Believe it, I don't. Embodying Hermes Avatar, He succeeded in. Wrong were we in his intentions." The God of Light laughed "Yes it seems to be so, However the track will reveal his chances. Let us continue to observe this trial, we may be seeing the birth of a Primordial Titan God this day." "Believe that I do not," responded the God of Void. As the Council watched a track materialized in front of them made of two rings. A glass sphere filled with light landed on the track and began rolling in laps picking up in speed until the light was an unbroken ring of brilliant white light.
Faster and faster the sphere traveled around the track until finally it couldn't be seen anymore. Only a halo of light hovered in its place. Suddenly a pulse of energy surged from within Tel-Nu harolding a blast of light that shot forth through the ceiling of the temple they were in. It shone with such an intensity that even the Elder God Council had to avert their eyes. Tel-Nu stepped out of the Column seemingly unchanged to the naked eye. However, As Tel-Nu looked at his status window he knew something had indeed changed.
