Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: A New Galaxy and a Mysterious Guide

After the events of the trial, Tel-Nu traveled to the galaxy where Sira had found a promising scan. As he arrived, he noted that she was indeed correct. This was the perfect spot to potentially set up a new location for humanity. If he could get the people of the world to evolve, they might just avoid the extinction event that was on the horizon. He placed a galaxy shield around the new galaxy and turned to return to the mortal realm and to his watch tower above Earth. As he turned around, he sensed more than saw a being watching him. "Who are you?" Tel-Nu asked. The being continued to just watch him as he hovered in space. Tel-Nu began to feel on edge as he continued to feel this being watching him. After an awkward amount of time passed, the being finally spoke. "You are not strong enough yet. However, soon I think you will be. The One Above Many will be hunting you. You are safe for now. He will find you, but He cannot fight you yet. Traditions must be observed." "What on Earth are you talking about? Make sense or begone," Tel-Nu replied uneasily. The being spoke again, "My apologies, I forget you were only born today. You have three years to develop before you can be issued a challenge by the One Above Many. If you don't want to take his position, then you can decline but only if you truly don't wish for his position." Tel-Nu was even more confused. "Who are you and why are you here?" Tel-Nu asked again. "Many pardons, I am unfamiliar with your customs of names and intentions. I have no name; I am merely your guide, and I too came into existence today. However, my kind comes into existence with the knowledge to assist new Ancients who have finally Awakened." Tel-Nu looked at the guide and was hesitant to trust him. "Well, I guess we can start with a name, trust can come later," the being said. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to name you," Tel-Nu replied. He thought a bit about what to name this being in front of him. He apparently has the knowledge to help me in this potential challenge against a being I have no clue about. "I'll name you Oracle," Tel-Nu finally said after pondering for a while. As Tel-Nu pondered the being in front of him, he noticed that the being became more visible after receiving a name. Interesting, he thought as he noticed the change. Why would giving him a name cause that reaction? Is it possible that he and I are somehow tethered to each other and as our interactions progress, he will continue to change? Tel-Nu decided to test the idea. "Oracle, do you need to eat, drink, or rest?" Tel-Nu asked as he wondered if maintaining this being's welfare might count as interaction. "I can consume food and drink and rest, but it is not required that I do so to survive," Oracle responded. Tel-Nu found that to be fascinating.

Oracle's Guidance

Tel-Nu and Oracle began their journey back to the main base, the watch tower above Earth, where Tel-Nu conducted his studies and prepared for his future plans. During the travel, Oracle shared insights about the new galaxy and its potential. He explained how the energies of the galaxy were unique and could be harnessed to accelerate human evolution. Tel-Nu listened intently, absorbing the information and formulating plans for his next steps. As they traveled, Oracle's presence became more comforting to Tel-Nu. He started to appreciate having a guide, even though he was still wary of fully trusting him. Oracle seemed to know a lot about the challenges Tel-Nu would face and offered advice on how to prepare for the One Above Many.

Arrival at the Watch Tower

Upon arrival at the watch tower, Tel-Nu immediately set to work analyzing the data from the new galaxy. Oracle assisted, providing valuable insights and helping to interpret the complex information. Tel-Nu marveled at the depth of Oracle's knowledge and began to see the value in having him as an ally. "Oracle, what do you know about the One Above Many?" Tel-Nu asked as they worked. Oracle paused, considering the question carefully. "The One Above Many is a being of immense power, one who has ruled unchallenged for millennia. He is the epitome of strength and control in the realms of the Ancients. To challenge him is to risk everything, but to win is to gain unparalleled power and influence." Tel-Nu nodded, absorbing the gravity of Oracle's words. "And why do I have to wait three years?" he asked. Oracle smiled faintly. "The traditions of the Ancients are strict. Newly Awakened beings must be given time to develop their powers before they can be challenged. It is a period of growth and preparation, a time to understand your new abilities and to strengthen them."

Reuniting with Sira

Just as they were deep in discussion, Sira entered the watch tower, her presence bringing a sense of urgency and curiosity. "Tel-Nu, you're back! What did you find out there?" she asked, her eyes darting between him and Oracle. Tel-Nu took a deep breath and began to explain everything that had transpired since the trial. He recounted the discovery of the new galaxy, the placement of the galaxy shield, and his unexpected encounter with Oracle. Sira listened intently, her expression shifting from curiosity to concern as Tel-Nu described the potential threat from the One Above Many. "This is Oracle," Tel-Nu said, gesturing to the being beside him. "He has been guiding me and providing invaluable information about our next steps." Sira eyed Oracle cautiously. "And you trust him?" Tel-Nu hesitated. "I trust his knowledge. He has proven to be helpful, and his insights have been accurate so far. But trust is something that will come with time." Oracle bowed slightly to Sira. "I understand your caution. I am here to assist Tel-Nu in his journey and to ensure he is prepared for the challenges ahead."

Further Explanations

Sira looked thoughtful. "So, what is this about the One Above Many? And why do you have to wait three years?" Oracle stepped forward, his demeanor calm and measured. "The One Above Many is the current ruler among the Ancients. He is bound by tradition to allow newly Awakened beings time to develop their powers before challenging them. This period of three years is both a protection and a preparation time for Tel-Nu." Sira frowned. "And if Tel-Nu doesn't want to challenge him?" "Then he can decline the challenge," Oracle replied. "But only if he truly has no desire for the position. The traditions are strict, but they are designed to ensure that only the worthy rise to power." Tel-Nu nodded. "It's a lot to take in, but I believe we can use this time to our advantage. We have three years to prepare, to understand my new abilities, and to develop a strategy."

Planning the Next Steps

Sira leaned against a console, her mind racing with possibilities. "We need to be smart about this. We should focus on strengthening your powers and understanding the full extent of what you can do. And we need to keep an eye on the One Above Many and his movements." Tel-Nu agreed. "Oracle has already provided some valuable insights. We can use the energies of the new galaxy to accelerate my development. And we can continue to gather information about the One Above Many and his weaknesses." Oracle nodded. "I will continue to study the new galaxy and relay information to you. Our connection allows me to assist you even from a distance." Sira looked at Tel-Nu, determination in her eyes. "We're in this together. Whatever comes, we'll face it as a team."

Building Trust and Preparing for the Future

As the days passed, Tel-Nu, Sira, and Oracle worked tirelessly to prepare for the challenges ahead. Tel-Nu focused on honing his abilities, guided by Oracle's knowledge and Sira's support. They conducted experiments, tested the limits of his powers, and strategized for the eventual confrontation with the One Above Many. Oracle's presence became an integral part of their preparations. His insights were invaluable, and his guidance helped Tel-Nu to grow stronger and more confident in his abilities. Despite the initial hesitation, Tel-Nu began to trust Oracle more, appreciating the wisdom and support he provided. Sira, too, found herself relying on Oracle's knowledge. She worked closely with him, analyzing data and developing strategies. The bond between the three of them grew stronger, and they became a formidable team, united in their purpose.

Reflecting on the Journey

One evening, as they took a break from their preparations, Tel-Nu, Sira, and Oracle sat together in the watch tower, reflecting on their journey so far. "We've come a long way," Tel-Nu said, looking out at the stars. "From the trial to discovering the new galaxy, to meeting Oracle... It's been an incredible journey." Sira nodded. "And it's only just begun. We have so much more to do, but I believe we're on the right path." Oracle smiled. "You have both shown great strength and determination. The challenges ahead will be difficult, but I have no doubt that you will succeed."

A New Beginning

With the information and knowledge they had gathered, Tel-Nu, Sira, and Oracle felt more prepared than ever. They knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges, but they were ready to face them together. As they looked toward the future, they knew that their journey was far from over. They had taken the first steps toward ensuring the survival and evolution of humanity, and they were determined to see it through to the end. Together, they would face the One Above Many, harness the power of the new galaxy, and carve out a new destiny for themselves and for humanity. The adventure had only just begun, and they were ready for whatever came next.
