Both of them were on their phones while enjoying Liam's pancakes. The taller alpha looked at his best friend (now boyfriend?) every few minutes, and if Mar noticed, he didn't comment on it.
Instead, the black haired alpha showed Liam his phone. How Mar's phone stayed alive and well at the battery life of 78% without being charged overnight is a wonder.
"Blue said she's driving to us right now." Mar said, pointing at the texts. "She's not happy about my breakup."
Liam chuckled, but his mind reminded him that he was jealous of Laura for her entire relationship with Mar, yet the taller alpha always suffered in silence.
"She's not gonna kill Laura, is she?" The platinum blond alpha joked.
"If she did, Laura would be dead by now. No one would find the body for months. Years, most probably. She'd get away with it, too." Mar joked back, his grin reached his eyes. "Blue never visited our little college town before. I wanna show her the bubble tea place. She's gonna lose her mind."
Liam looked at his own phone for the time. It's a modest 8:30am. He usually started his first class at this hour, but now it's a break. This is a sign that he really needs a break. "Where is she now?"
"Give me a minute." Mar began texting back to Blue. "The city she's living in isn't that far. Two hours drive away from us. So I'm guessing she's at least... Oh, she replied. She's thirty minutes away."
"Great!" Liam picked up his and Mar's empty plates. "Where are we meeting her? Don't tell me we're getting bubble tea first thing."
"Actually..." Mar looked up from his phone with a sly grin. "We are getting bubble tea first thing."
The taller alpha let out a laugh as he put the dishes into the sink.
Exactly thirty minutes later, the two alphas found themselves in front of the store, appropriately named Tea House. It exclusively sells bubble teas, and the decor is like a doll house where little girls play tea parties. Liam doesn't mind it; hell, he even admits that he likes the shop. It's cute, and also the peach tea is a masterpiece. The only downside is it only opens after 9am, and Liam's first class is 8:30am, so the only time he can come to enjoy his peach tea is when Mar physically drags him here.
"There she is!" His best friend pointed at a beautiful sleek jet black coupe, a similar model to Mar's.
The car was parked right in front of the store, where Mar would usually park his. However, today they walked to waste time. The black haired alpha bullied Liam into putting on his shirt and walking to the main street where most stores are.
The diver door was opened, revealing a short little omega with light brunette hair. Her round black eyes landed on them, and a small smile came on her pink lips. Blue has had the same haircut for as long as they have known her, and today it's no different. She has bangs that almost goes into those round eyes, and her curls never reach her shoulders. She's wearing a white T-shirt and light blue jeans, nicely hanging off her bust and her curves.
"Blue!" Mar greeted the omega as she walked towards them. "I haven't seen you since... I dunno, a hella long time ago."
"You s-saw me during w-winter break." Blue giggled, and she pointed at Liam. "I haven't seen Li-Liam for a full year."
As soon as she's close enough, Mar pulled her into a hug. Then, she opened her arms to the taller alpha, and Liam had to bend over a little to properly hug her. She's short even for an omega, but the platinum blond alpha didn't mind. He and everyone around her lied to her that drinking milk would make her grow taller. Apparently, it didn't.
Usually, hugging or even physical touch is discouraged between alphas and omegas because they can accidentally scent mark each other. Well, in this case, the alphas can accidentally scent mark Blue, but Blue can't scent mark them. So, if they do accidentally scent mark her, which is kinda impossible in their first place since she doesn't give out any scents to begin with, it's only one sided and easy to erase.
"What brings you here today?" Liam asked as they walked into the store. The glass doors automatically slide open for them, and the alphas slowed their walking pace to match the little omega. "Do you miss us that much?"
"Awe, she does!" Mar dramatically shouted before Blue could answer. She shook her head in amusement, her wavy brunette hair bouncing as she did so.
"M-maybe I do." Blue looked at the menu above the counter. Her round black eyes squinted by a small fraction. "This place is called Tea House?"
Then, those black eyes darted around the room as she took in the sight of various mismatching pastel decor and retro furniture. Liam could feel the horrified amazement from her.
"This is... S-So... C... Cliche?" The omega female sighed and turned her attention back to the menu. "W-what do you recommend? I won't judge a book by its cover."
"Iced peach tea with tropica pearl." Liam put his order on the screen.
"Oooh, that s-sounds good." Blue flipped to the pages until she saw it.
"Liam only drinks that, so I wouldn't trust his opinion." Mar chuckled, his eyes momentarily met Liam as he typed in his order. "There's the classic bubble tea. Also, their macchiato series isn't bad."
"A classic bubble tea..." Blue tapped on the screen to put in her order.
"Good choice." Liam took out his phone to pay for their drink.
"N-no-no..." The omega pushed his hand away. In a second, her phone met the screen; there was a beep as the payment was successful.
Then, the three of them hounded the tiny screen for the receipt, and this time, Mar is the winner. The black haired alpha ran off with the receipt, and Blue chased after him. Liam took long strides, speed walking towards the two friends running around a table.
It's barely a minute since the store opened, and there's no other customers in here except them. Mar was laughing loudly as Blue jumped and snatched the receipt out of his hand. Only for Liam to come behind her with a grin, pulling the crumbled receipt out of her smaller hands.
"That's un-unfair!" Blue whined at Liam's grinning face. The platinum blond alpha slowly and carefully unfolded the receipt to look at their order number.
002.
Who the hell is 001? The alpha thought they were the first customers of today.
"Eeh?" Blue looked at the number, then back up at Liam. The alpha can tell she's thinking about the same thing as him.
Mar suddenly smashed himself into the omega's side to read the receipt too. At this exact moment, they heard footsteps coming out of the hallway with a WC sign.
Blue eyes widened when they landed on a trio of three omega females, with Laura in the middle.
