"Are you happy now?!" I quickly snatched myself once Riccardo was out.
"Not when you have his nasty marks," he tried to touch my hair, but I removed my face. "And you still smell like him," he faced a smile.
"I hate you!" I spit. Within a second, he was gripping my hair, breathing heavily.
"I have been so patient with you, Amorina! More patient than I've ever been! All because I hope that one day you will understand! But, no!" he chuckled darkly, "You decided to provoke me!"
"Y. . . You're hurting me," my voice cracked. "Emotionally, physically and every other way," he released my hair. "I-I sometimes hate you for saving m—" The words died in my throat as he put his palm on my mouth.
"Stop saying that," he shook his head, "Just don't,"
"But that's how I feel, Edoardo."
