"Edoardo, I told you we need some time to get this done! You can't just demand something out of the blue!" I said, tapping the table at each word.
"And as I said, we have other projects in our hands. So it will be better if you make things faster,"
Taking a deep breath, I tried to maintain my composure. "Edoardo, you need to understand that rushing through projects will only lead to subpar results. Our clients deserve the best, and I won't compromise on that."
He smirked, his eyes glinting with a malicious gleam. "Oh, Eliana, always so idealistic. But let's not forget who holds a significant stake in this company. I could easily make things much more difficult for you."
My heart raced as his words hit home. Edoardo had always been manipulative, using his power and influence to control situations. But I was determined not to let him intimidate me any longer.
