The frustration was palpable as Santiago and I sat in my dimly lit office, surrounded by stacks of documents and evidence boards. We had been tirelessly working to gather any information that could potentially bring Edoardo down, but it seemed like every lead we pursued only led to dead ends. The man was cunning, leaving no trace of his involvement in the crimes that had plagued our city.
