To say I was flabbergasted would be an understatement. Of all the things I expected to happen, this was not on the top one million. Riccardo is the anonymous shareholder. Not only that, he is also sitting across the table.
"As I was saying, the anonymity is for my safety," his words dragged me back to reality.
"But we still can't trust you, Mr. Mancini. You are a detective. You have been working for five years to get us down," Edoardo retorted. He didn't believe him, and I'm not sure if I'm on his side this time.
"But I didn't. Plus I've been a shareholder for seven years," he lifted his gaze towards me. I immediately knew what he meant. It was for revenge. To take me down.
"It doesn't matter," Leo finally spoke. "We're here for our weekly report. Let's get through it,"
