Irwan handed a piece of tissue to his wife. "Wipe your nose."
Joya glared. I'm not snotty," she said in a slightly annoyed tone. She was offended. What woman wouldn't be offended if she was accused of snotting. Joya pulled out her snot which turned out to be empty. "Look, there's no snot."
"Yeah, I know," Irwan said with a chuckle. "Wipe your tears! Or should I do it?"
Joya immediately restrained Irwan's hand that was about to touch his face. "I- I can do it myself," she stammered. She looked down, trying to calm her pounding heart. Luckily it was dark, otherwise Irwan might have seen her flushed face.
"Why are you silent?" Irwan asked. He looked at Joya. The dim atmosphere showed some of his wife's face which looked puffy.
Joya turned her head. By the light from the cell phone screen, Joya knew that Irwan was watching her.
"What should I do?"
"Say something, the dark atmosphere and your residence make me feel lonely," Irwan replied.
