Luna stared at the iPad screen, mindlessly scrolling through various social media platforms, trying to pass the time. She was home alone as Rachel mentioned she was going out for a while.
She must have dozed off because the sound of the door opening abruptly woke her up. She jolted up, her wolf senses on high alert, until she recognized the scent of Rachel filling the room. Luna relaxed, glad to know that she was not alone anymore.
The sound of Rachel's light feet tapping on the wooden floor echoed as she made her way to the living room, Luna couldn't help but admire her friend's energy and bubbling personality.
"Hey Luna," Rachel greeted, grinning from ear to ear.
Luna smiled as she saw the genuine and innocent look on Rachel's face. These were part of the reasons Rachel became her best and only human friend.
"Hey Rach, anything in particular we should be excited about?" Luna asked, scrubbing the remnant of sleep in her eyes.
