Prologue

Demon lord Lenier.

A truly vile and evil being, hated by all.

A being so powerful and cruel, he singlehandedly united the entire world against him.

Before Lenier, stands an army of millions.

Elite human soldiers, paladins, warriors and adventurers. The strongest forces of mankind.

Angel and divine beings sent from heaven to fight against evil. The protectors of the world.

Even the demon species, who used to work for the former demon lord, have now teamed up with the humans to fight the common foe that is the Demon lord Lenier.

This is the greatest army to ever march upon the surface of the planet.

Demon lord Lenier, alone, stood atop his demon castle, arms crossed as he watched from above.

Finally, he made his move.

As he raised his hand into the air, a black miasma oozed out of his body and formed into a crimson blade.

This is the same blade that terrorized this world. A blade that has killed 50% of all life on the planet.

Lenier bent down low. And then swung his sword.

In one single swing, the entire army… was wiped out.

The land exploded, the earth shook, the seas raged.

It was as if hundreds of atomic bombs exploded simultaneously.

This wasn't a war.

It wasn't even a fight.

All it took was one swing, and everyone was dead.

The angels, the humans, the demons, all dead.

That is how much power he possesses.

Even against the entire world, he stands here unscathed.

Demon lord Lenier.

Vile. Cruel. Powerful. Evil.

All words to describe this being.

Yet there is one word that describe him the best of all.

Masochist.

The demon lord Lenier is a full-on masochist. He loves pain. Everything he does is to inflict as much pain on himself as he can.

Despair, pain, suffering, agony, oh how he loves it.

He started from nothing, but through his overwhelming desire for pain, he rose up to the very top, eventually becoming who he is today.

An insatiable desire for pain.

And now, he is about to experience his greatest and most euphoric pain.

As demon lord Lenier turned around, he saw 17 heroes who had gathered to defeat him.

Hero Xavier, a human hero who had been transported here from another world to defeat the demon lord.

Sage Gruther, a 1000-year-old deity who witnesses the rise and fall of many kingdoms.

Arch-mage Lumal, the only person in the known world to be able to use 10th and 11th tier magic.

Saint Goddess Mary Sue, the strongest and perfect holy saint from heaven.

Former demon lord Pethnor, once known as the most powerful demon… until he was one-sidedly defeated by Lenier.

Sword king Ragnar, the most famous king in human history, and the only king to have conquered an entire country alone with his sword skills.

All of them possessing immense power, all of them from different situations, different backgrounds, different motivations, yet here they are, sharing one goal, teaming together to defeat the greatest of them all, demon lord Lenier.

And so, the battle between Demon lord Lenier and the 17 began.
