Chapter 1: Birth of a Disaster
Demon lord Lenier was born as an ordinary baby.
He had a human mother, and a demon father, which at the time although frowned on, wasn't an uncommon occurrence.
His father had left him before he was born and his mother was very abusive, she would hit Lenier constantly, but Lenier didn't dislike it. He loved his mother, and he especially loved the feeling of being hit by his mother.
He would constantly be screamed and shouted at, but he simply smiled. He had believed that this was the feeling of love, true love. The pleasure of being whipped by his mother would cause him immense joy.
He would do everything and anything, going out of his way to ensure that his mother became angry and hurt him.
Eventually, his mother realized how crazy Lenier was, and abandoned him in fear.
Although slightly saddened, Lenier liked the feeling of being abandoned. It filled him with this weird feeling inside. Similar to when he was being hit, but on the inside. It felt good.
Since he was only a few years old at this time, he was accepted into an orphanage.
Due to the fact Lenier was mixed race, half human and half demon, he was bullied by the other children in the orphanage.
In fact, the bullying got so bad, it got to the point where kids would beat him up and dunk his head into toilets.
Lenier was overjoyed.
He thought that once his mother left, he would never feel the feeling of such blissful love anymore.
He soon came to realize this feeling was called "pain."
What a wonderful thing pain is, Lenier thought to himself.
He was so relieved that he had found such wonderful friends that would inflict such pain on him.
As a thank you gift, Lenier decided he also wanted to show his gratitude by inflicting his friends with wonderful pain as well…
It was on that day that he had mutilated his "friend's" body that he realized that perhaps other people didn't enjoy pain as he did?
He pondered to himself, why? Pain feels wonderful, just a blissful sensation. Why would people not like it?
Is it a matter of taste? There are people who like different foods, so maybe only certain people like the feeling of pain.
Lenier was chased away by the orphanage and left to wander the world by himself.
What a beautiful world, Lenier thought to himself.
Truly indeed, it is a beautiful world, full of magic and life, freedom and exploration, monsters and dungeon and treasures to be found.
This is the world Lenier was born in.
He was still very young, not even a teen yet, but he was filled with energy to explore this world.
It didn't take long for him to meet some friendly animals.
A cute wolf had appeared as Lenier was sleeping, and it shared its love with him by biting him and tearing off bits of his flesh.
Lenier was happy that this feeling of love was shared not only by humans, but by animals as well.
He embraced the wolf as it slowly devoured his insides.
It was then that he heard a loud "BANG!" noise, and the wolf dropped to the ground, blood squirting out of a hole in its head.
"Holy god damn! Kid! Are you alright?!?!"
It was an old man.
He quickly rushed to Lenier side and wrapped him in bandage and poured this weird liquid called alcohol onto his wound.
He didn't know what it was, but he liked the sizzle feeling of the liquid being poured onto where his body was injured.
The kind old man carried Lenier to his home and took care of him.
It didn't take long for the old man to realize what was wrong with Lenier.
This child… is a masochist. A severe case of masochism beyond anything he had ever seen.
This old man had lived a long life, he had been part of many kinky bdsm parties, but there was always a limit. This child on the other hand, even with such wounds, he was displaying happiness beyond belief almost as if he was a kid on Christmas eve.
He realized how severe this situation was and took it upon himself to keep this kid safe and teach him about the world.
For several years, these two lived together, the old man teaching Lenier common sense and the ways of the world.
Lenier was very shocked to find out that people didn't like being torn apart and whipped, but regardless, he accepted the reality.
He was trained to not inflict wounds on himself and avoid pain, even if he wanted to feel it.
You could say he lived normally.
In this time, the old man treated Lenier like his son, teaching him to cut trees and wood like a lumberjack.
Within the span of a few years, Lenier grew big. Everyday he trained vigorously, for he liked the feeling of pushing his muscles to the very limit until it tore and grew sore.
Although he wasn't allowed to purposely hurt himself, training and exercise was reluctantly permitted by the old man, and it was his main source of pleasure.
By the time he turned 12, he had a muscular body comparable to body builders and could tear a tree down bare handed.
Lenier was happy. Despite not being allowed to hurt himself, he liked living with the old man.
However, it didn't last long.
A bit after Lenier became 13, a group of bandits attacked the cottage that Lenier and the old man were living in.
The old man tried resisting, but he was killed by the bandits.
Lenier had been away in the forest cutting wood, so he didn't know what was going on until he returned, where he was greeted with the home that he had been living in for the past few years burning down.
He didn't know what was going on, so he just walked into the burning house.
The fire didn't bother him, in fact, he liked the scorching feeling of fire on his flesh.
That's when he saw the old man, laying on the ground, eyes wide open with his neck sliced open.
At this time, Lenier had no concept of death.
The old man taught Lenier common sense, but the old man didn't want to teach a child such depressing topics like death, he hadn't yet explained that humans had a limited life and would eventually die.
Lenier just sat there, poking at the old man's corpse, telling him to wake up.
But the fire continued burning, and the old man didn't move.
Even though Lenier was still innocent to this world, he was smart boy, and he realized that perhaps the old man was no longer in this world.
Upon that realization, he felt something. Something inside of him.
His chest felt a little tight, and felt something sharp inside of him… similar to the feeling of when his mother left him…
It felt… painful.
Unlike normal pain though, it hurts on the inside, not the outside.
Lenier didn't know what this feeling was, but it… made him feel… good.
He felt a euphoric feeling rising in his body.
It felt tingly, like an electric shock coursing throughout his body, and he liked it.
As he sat there in the burning home, burning alive while suffocating on smoke, he watched over the old man's body who had taken care of him for these couple of years, he felt an immense pleasure that he had never experienced before.
This was the first time Lenier got a boner.
Fire covered his entire body, giving him a warm and soft feeling like snuggling into a thick blanket on a cold winter night.
He kissed the old man's forehead, saying his final goodbyes before leaving.
Lenier's skin was still burning, his flesh melting off of him as he left the house, but he was filled with passion. A passion to search for an even greater pain… even greater pleasure!
Until then, Lenier didn't want to die yet, so he extinguished the fire and set off on his quest to discover pain.
He thought that if he were to witness people die, then it would cause him pain like when he saw the old man die and make him feel good.
So, he went out, looking for someone to die, which he then stumbled upon the bandits who had killed the old man.
Lenier killed the bandits.
Painfully.
And slowly.
He had not killed the bandits out of malicious intent or revenge, he had only done it out of curiosity and a desire to seek out pain.
It's similar to if a baby were to step on an ant, there is no malicious intent. It is of pure innocence and naivety.
Lenier was also abnormally strong for his age, but he knew nothing about fighting nor killing.
He didn't even know what causes death. As such, he experimented on the bandits, breaking off fingers, cutting out flesh, trying to figure out how people died.
Weirdly, the bandits died in different ways.
One bandit died after he lost enough blood, another died when he destroyed his head, another died while he was impaled, another died while on fire.
Does death occur differently for everyone? Or perhaps are there are multiple ways to die?
Lenier wasn't sure, but he learned a lot.
However, he didn't feel any pain. Unlike when the old man died, he felt nothing when he killed the bandits.
Saddened by his failure to figure out the source of his pain, he once again ventured into this world with a goal in mind.
Over the years, Lenier travelled across the world, getting into various encounters, allowing him to experience great pains.
Like one time, when Lenier had stumbled upon a vampire.
The vampire was very kind, sending out a big group of zombie friends that bit and chewed onto his muscles.
The vampire also joined in on the fun too and impaled Lenier with several blood spears and tore off his limbs.
Lenier had never had so much fun!
A party is when a lot of people come together and have fun, isn't it? This must be what they call a party! Lenier truly believed that this was a party.
At the end of the party, the vampire bit into Lenier's neck, sucking out his blood.
Lenier didn't know what the vampire was doing, but he liked it, so he mimicked the vampire's actions.
Lenier opened his mouth wide and… devoured the vampire's neck.
The vampire tried to escape, but Lenier clung on and continued eating. He couldn't stop, it felt too good.
If a human were to ingest vampire blood, they'd experience immense pain before they either die or become a vampire themselves. In both scenarios, the human would writhe in pain.
Yet this human was not only consuming the vampire, but he was also enjoying it as if he was eating a juicy steak.
The vampire ended up not being able to escape and was completely consumed by Lenier.
Lenier felt like there were millions of scorching hot needles stabbing into every inch of his body, and he laid there, eyes closed so he could relish in this pain.
When he woke up, his limbs had regenerated, and he had become a vampire.
Turning into a vampire was one of the best things that happened to Lenier, for whenever he was in the sun, he was burned.
He would bathe in the sun as he felt his skin burn, until eventually, his body grew an immunity to the sun and he had to move on.
Such a situation like this happened many times.
When Lenier had grown sufficiently powerful due to his adventures, he encountered a powerful fire titan.
It destroyed and burned Lenier's body into a crisp, but by now, he had unintentionally obtained an immortal body and no matter what the fire titan did, he would come back.
Lenier trapped the fire titan like a teddy bear and forced the fire titan to forever burn so Lenier could sleep while being set ablaze.
If not for the fact that they were both in constant pain, it would almost be cute how Lenier was peacefully sleeping while hugging the fire titan.
Overtime, the fire titan started to exhaust its life force and weakened.
Saddened once again, Lenier decided to eat the fire titan. He wanted to forever feel the burn of his "friend" inside of him at all times.
Since the fire titan was several hundred times bigger than Lenier, it took a long time for it to fully be eaten.
It couldn't escape and had no choice but to suffer as its entire body was slowly consumed by a crazy immortal man.
It's equivalent to being slowly eaten alive by a single ant while being unable move.
It took a week before the fire titan's suffering ended.
Lenier fully digested the fire titan and gained its power, thus growing even stronger.
Many years pass and Lenier experiences many different pains, physical pain, mental pain, spiritual pain, he felt it all.
No one was as experienced as he was in pain.
But then, pain became boring.
Through his various encounters, Lenier grew strong, too strong. No matter how much pain he experienced, it wasn't enough.
It no longer satisfied him like it used to.
He travelled the lands, searching for new sources and even greater pains, but to no avail.
Pain felt mild. Lackluster. Uninteresting.
It drove Lenier insane.
It's like having sex, but never being able to climax.
Eternal edging basically.
No matter how much you pleasure yourself, you can't climax. No end. No peak. Just a constant growing desire for a higher pleasure.
For a drug addict, it's like taking an endless amount of drugs, but never being able to get high despite the addictions continuously growing and yearning for more and more.
At first, someone might be able to resist and control this urge, but over time, the desire for a bigger high will grow and grow until the person goes crazy, doing anything to satiated it.
This is basically what Lenier experiences 24/7 with his desire for an even greater pain like none other.
Ironically, at first, the pain of being unsatisfied from not finding enough pain felt good for Lenier, but even that pain slowly became boring as well.
Around that time, he heard news of a demon lord invading kingdoms.
Lenier had heard about the demon lord before, in fact, he had actually met and lived with one of the demon lord's 8 demon generals for quite some time.
The demon lord was notorious for his wrath, and many people feared him for his overwhelming power, so Lenier was hopefully that maybe, just maybe, the demon lord could give him what he desired.
But his hope was crushed. Utterly destroyed.
Lenier defeated the demon lord with ease. All of the demon lord's attack felt no different from a sharp breeze.
Lenier had intended to take his time while slowly fighting everyone in the royal demon castle, but even while taking it slow, it only took 7 minutes for him to defeat the current demon lord of the time, demon lord Pethnor, his generals and his entire army.
Lenier didn't try to kill anyone, but he was so powerful, that no one survived.
The demon lord, Pethnor, had his entire body obliterated and was only barely able to survive by regenerating from a remaining cell that had miraculously survived.
In a single moment, Pethnor lost everything he had worked 3 decades for and had his status as demon lord stripped from him.
Pethnor wanted revenge, but the one who defeated was overwhelmingly more powerful than him… and that wasn't even his peak potential strength yet either…
When the hero's party arrived at the demon lord's castle, they were greeted by nothing but rubble.
Meanwhile, Lenier continued seeking out powerful individuals and, in every situation, he would win. And after every fight, he would unknowingly grow exponentially more powerful.
At one point, Lenier realized that this was futile. No individual could hurt him anymore.
Then out of desperation, he came up with a plan. Instead of seeking out strong individuals, he'll make the world's strongest seek him out… by making the entire world his enemy.
In the end, it only took him a mere 13 hours to cause enough destruction worldwide for him to be branded as a global threat known as the "demon lord."
Compared to his predecessors which took their time to grow their demon army, and slowly invade the world, taking several years to finally obtain the demon lord status, a mere 13 hours was insane.
Demon lord Lenier's plan worked perfectly. He was able to unite the world, gathering the strongest to team up together in order to take him down.
And now, in front him, awaits the greatest and most heavenly pain he will experience.
