Chapter 61 - Escape

I made my way out again to see Mr. Luigi at the café, so I could share the information I had with him. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the narrow streets. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air as I approached Luigi's establishment. The bell above the door jingled as I stepped inside, the familiar chime signaling my entrance.

"Buongiorno, Naya!" Mr. Luigi called from behind the counter, wiping his hands on a cloth.

"Good evening, Mr. Luigi," I replied with a small smile, taking a seat at the worn wooden table by the window. "I've got some updates for you."

Before I could delve into the details, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I fished it out, glancing at the screen. An unknown number stared back at me. A sense of unease crept over me. I hesitated for a moment, then swiped to answer.

"Hello?" I said cautiously.
