Alex made his way through the city, searching for any sign of Sarah. He felt a mix of fear and adrenaline, knowing that he was heading into danger. But he couldn't let Sarah face this new villain alone.
As he ran through the city, he began to hear the sounds of a battle in the distance. He picked up his pace, following the sounds until he reached an abandoned warehouse.
Peering inside, he saw Sarah facing off against a figure in a black suit, their face hidden behind a mask.
Alex hesitated for a moment, trying to figure out the best approach. He knew that he had to be careful not to give away his identity, but he also had to help Sarah.
Taking a deep breath, he stepped out of the shadows and into the light.
"Sarah, I'm here to help," he called out.
Sarah's eyes widened in surprise as she saw Alex, but she quickly regained her composure.
"Thanks, Sentinel," she said, her voice tight with tension. "This guy's tough."
Alex nodded, sizing up the new villain. He was big and muscular, with a dark energy pulsing around him.
"Who are you?" Alex demanded, taking a defensive stance.
The villain laughed, a deep, sinister sound.
"I am Blackout," he said, his voice distorted by the mask. "And you two are no match for me."
With that, he charged forward, his fists raised.
Alex and Sarah both sprang into action, dodging and weaving as they fought back against Blackout's attacks. The battle was intense, with punches and kicks flying back and forth.
But eventually, Alex found an opening. With a swift move, he knocked Blackout to the ground, rendering him unconscious.
Panting, Alex and Sarah looked at each other, their eyes shining with adrenaline.
"That was close," Sarah said, her voice shaking a little.
Alex nodded, feeling a sense of relief and triumph wash over him. They had defeated Blackout, together.
But as they headed back to the apartment, he couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between them. Something was different, and he wasn't quite sure what it was.
