Alex couldn't stop thinking about the way he felt around Sarah. He had always seen her as his enemy, someone he had to fight and defeat. But now, after all their battles together, he was starting to see her in a different light.
As they walked back to the apartment, he couldn't help stealing glances at her. She was beautiful, he realized. Her hair was tousled and her clothes were ripped from the battle, but she still looked stunning.
They entered the apartment and made their way to the living room. Alex could feel his heart racing in his chest as he sat down on the couch next to Sarah.
"Hey, I wanted to talk to you," he said, trying to sound casual.
Sarah turned to him, her eyes curious.
"What's up?"
"I don't know how to say this," Alex began, his palms sweating. "But I think... I think I have feelings for you."
Sarah's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, there was silence between them.
"Alex, I don't know what to say," she said, her voice soft. "I never expected this."
Alex took a deep breath, his heart pounding.
"I know we're supposed to be enemies," he said. "But I can't help how I feel. And I wanted to tell you, because... because I think it's important."
Sarah's face softened, and she reached out to touch his arm.
"Alex, I understand," she said. "I... I have feelings for you too."
Alex felt a jolt of electricity go through him at her words. He couldn't believe it. They had both been pretending to be enemies for so long, but now they were admitting the truth.
He leaned in to kiss her, and she met him halfway. Their lips met in a passionate embrace, and Alex felt like he was on fire.
They pulled apart, panting.
"What do we do now?" Alex asked, his voice hoarse.
Sarah smiled, taking his hand.
"I think we figure it out together," she said. "After all, we're a pretty good team."
