Aura searched everywhere for Caecilius, but he was nowhere to be found. She asked the villagers if they had seen him, but they turned their backs on her, refusing to help her in any way. Aura knew that they were still angry with her for defying their orders and seeing Caecilius.
She decided to venture into the forest, where she and Caecilius often met. As she walked deeper into the woods, the air grew colder, and the trees grew thicker. She called out Caecilius' name, but there was no answer.
Just as she was about to give up hope, she heard a faint rustling in the bushes. She turned around and saw Caecilius, his face streaked with tears.
"Aura," he cried, running towards her. "I thought I would never see you again."
Aura hugged him tightly, relieved to see him safe and sound. She explained to him about the god's proposal and asked for his advice.
Caecilius was torn. He loved Aura with all his heart, but he could not bear the thought of losing his memories of her. Aura understood his dilemma, and she told him that she would not go through with the god's proposal without his consent.
Together, they decided to confront the god and demand that he lift the curse without any conditions. They knew that it was a risky move, but they were willing to take the chance if it meant being together forever.
