Emperor told me he sent Clyde and Crystal attack Nest, a world infested with self conscious plants. These plants are capable of building networks and cities. Forming armies and doing what humans can do. Nest was established as a level 4 threat by Emperor himself over a year ago. It bugs me that he only decided to send a force to attack them now. Perhaps he is testing the two, seeing if they could help fix the deficit in the commander ranks. While deep in thought, I heard the door open.
"Since when did you get a key to the house?"
"Since forever, I'm the master of my own consciousness, therefore it makes sense that I would have access to all systems inside it."
He walked over to the living room and sat down on one of the sofas. I began cooking up some food since it was around lunchtime for me.
"Sigh..."
"What happened?"
"The war efforts on Nest... I feel like we aren't advancing fast enough. The last time I commanded an army, we took over the planet in under a day!"
"You mean that one planet that was made out of so-called "blocks"?"
"Yes, that one."
"You just need to calm yourself down a little, at least the two are making good progress, right?"
"Yeah, they are but not as fast as I would like it to be. I rather the ships be back at Clockwork, which you know is the capital of the Steam Empire. Because if our flank is left wide open, the Faze Empire has an opening to exploit!"
"Like that's going to happen, the Steam Space Forces significantly outclasses the Faze Empire's navy, in both numbers and technology."
"An ambush can be very successful without the use of on par equipment and weapons. Sometimes an ambush doesn't even require weapons."
He got up and walked up towards me.
"For example..."
He then bear-hugged me from behind.
"Aughhhh, Emperor, I'm cooking right now. Heck, this may be your own consciousness but the house could still burn down if we aren't careful." I said while in response while kicking him in between his legs.
"Crap, that really hurts. OWWWWWW. I can't believe you would actually be able to inflict so much damage in such a rapid succession."
"Well I'm sorry about that but you did kind of deserve it. After All I have only known your human form for only a couple days and you're already trying to make moves on me. Bad choice right there."
"Well, that was an ambush wasn't it?"
"Yes it was, though it was poorly executed."
He then got up and starting dropping seasonings into my wok, which I was cooking
chicken with.
"Hey! I'm the one cooking here."
"Nah, I think you didn't add enough seasonings, let me help you with this. In fact, I'm going to be taking over now."
"Hmph, Fine. But if I don't like it, you're eating the whole thing by yourself!"
While he was cooking, I decided to take a look outside. The outside had turned into a spring-time landscape. I looked back at Emperor, who had a cheerful expression as he cooked. It is as if the landscape outside matched with Emperor's mood. Seems like I won't have to take any guesses on his mood in the future. Then for some unknown motive, I walked up behind him and gave him a bear hug as well.
"Hey now, what's the meaning behind this!"
"Just extra payback from before."
"No fair!"
