Jimmy asks as I slightly shift in my seat. I don't want to answer this question. I can't answer it. I don't know what to say. Maybe it's time I reveal the truth? Maybe it's about time everyone knows who I actually am? Or maybe I should wait a bit more. I have waited 5 long years, I can wait a few more months. Sam sees me hesitating as he answers instead.
"Well, the credit goes to Kay. She wrote it. Isn't it so beautiful?"
I look at Sam who is sitting beside me turning my head to his side and he smiles at me softly. I gulp when his pure hazel eyes gaze softly into my blue ones. Why am I feeling this? I can't...how can I even think like this? How can I even imagine the idea of being attracted to him? This cannot happen! I have to control my feelings before they control me. But it's hard, for the entire month I have spent with him, I find myself drawn to him. I feel my heartbeat rise whenever he accidentally touches me. I feel my face flush red when he stares deeply into my eyes. I can't help but fall for him. But I cannot! I cannot for her! I cannot betray her...snap out of it!
As the show goes on, I don't know why but I remember all the times Sam tried to get close to me when we were in a collaboration. It was like he was giving me a hint. Like, he wanted me to let him come to me. It was like he was telling me about his feelings, his feelings for me.... if only he knew.... it's not 'me' he is falling for, it's her. He is thinking of me as her and it clenches my heart because I know he loves her only. He can never love me for me. I want to tell him the truth, I don't want to keep him in fake reality anymore. He needs to know; he deserves to know the truth. I will tell him, very soon. My thoughts are interrupted when Jimmy suddenly says.

I wasn't informed about this and by the look on Sam's face, he probably wasn't either. I take a deep breath when Jimmy asks us to stand and go to a certain place to sing our song.
"Let's cheer them up! One of the best songs of the century is now going to be sung here live!" Everyone cheers and Sam smiles. I do too, but no one can see. I look at Sam as the beat starts and I notice how handsome he looks. His light brown hair with bangs coming on his forehead makes him look so cute, just like in the older days. He is wearing a black turtleneck shirt tucked in gray straight dad pants. He looks dashing with his alluring hazel eyes. I can't not look at him, but I quickly snap out of the stupid moment when he starts to sing, looking straight at me as if my cat-shaped sunglasses are not visible to him and he can see through them completely. As if he can see me as if he knows me. My heart starts beating fast when he sings those lyrics looking at me directly with that amorous smile.

He seems lost for a second, it's as if something struck him and he can't process anything. I frown and as his part is about to come, I start to sing it so that he comes out of whatever trance he is in, and he does as he starts to sing along with me. People seem a bit taken aback by the change, but they shrug and enjoy it.

With everyone clapping their hands and looking at us in aww and Sam having an eye contact with me, I forget everything for a second. I stay lost in the moment. He changed the lyrics....'be mine', 'love' it wasn't in the original song, instead the original lyrics were: 'forget everything and let's start a new, oh hon, let's start a new life.' No one seems to really care much about the ad-lib, but I know why Sam did it. He knows I know. He wants me to know. I fight the tears that are threatening to fall, because now I am awake from my dream. I have recovered from the moment. I can't love him. I can't fall for him. I am not the one he loves.
"Now that was one of the best performances!" Jimmy says and the show continues.
