Mt. Dakun, Rebellion-Held Aviye
Xu
Captain Xu allowed herself a smile as she stared at the battle map in the briefing room. It was the day after her return, and she enjoyed the familiar sense of work, especially after turning in her first report to Colonel Riel on behalf of the First Ascendant. Today, she was early to the planning session that would decide the Battalion's role in what was sure to be the final battle with the Separatists.
The Rebellion had made good time in the last week, and using the rail lines had allowed them to partially encircle Nurezhin, mostly along the south and east of the city. The artillery and anti-air line had pushed north as well, and the former could maintain operational fire over three-quarters of the city.
