"Wow"I couldn't help but mutter. This creature was clearly not human but she was way prettier than any human I had come across and stronger.
She walked up to me and started sniffing me and what happened next was very surprising. "you're gonna be my partner for life human boy" she said as she brought her face closer to mine.
"hey! You can't just decide things on your own, I don't even know who or what are are" I complained as I stepped back.
"well you saw me and did not get scared or disgusted even after seeing my strength, so you are the perfect candidate to be my life long partner"
she said smiling as she kept sniffing me.
"hey can you cut that out please" I said while trying not to stare at her boobs. She seemed to notice this and smiled as she took some steps back.
"you're going to die if you keep that up" she said still smiling
I could feel a chill run down my spine.
"well my name is Isabella grant, I am from the demon race,although I'm not sure how I got here but I'm glad I am here because I got to meet my darling" she said as she swirled around admiring the tall buildings.
"uhmm that's a nice name, I'm Tim and I'm a human, who's lost and confused on what's going on" I replied still trying to understand what was going on.
"well you don't have to worry, now that you're mine no one is going to lay a hand on your head, at least until you get strong enough to protect me" she said as she grabbed my hands excitedly.
Although I was embarrassed by the fact that my wife had to protect me but she was right, I was just too weak to protect myself talk more of protecting this beautiful demon.
If I really could grow stronger, can I possibly reach her level?
"First things first we have to take you somewhere safe" Isabel said as she held me and took off.
It felt strange as I soared across the clouds, I could see several buildings, it was a sight I never thought I could see in my whole life, yh I could see this by getting on a plane but I couldn't afford that.it was truly a sight to behold.
After an hour of flying, we finally got to an abandoned warehouse which was out of business before the events of the meteorite. It had several old oil tanks and some damaged and dusty trucks in front of it. It was a really run down place.
We landed in front of the warehouse and I looked around to check if I would see any survivors but I didn't. I got back to the entrance of the warehouse and tried to pry the huge door open, but the rusty hinge made it almost impossible to move.
"how about applying a little mana into your arms" she said as she smiled at me. I wanted to try the solution I was given but I didn't know what to do.
Isabel smiled and started explaining it all to me, it was like she could read my mind.
"all you have to do is to search yourself for that sensation of life, it would feel warm, instinctively you'll be able to tell it is your mana you are sensing. Then you focus that sensation to your arm" she explain with a proud look on her face. It was as if she was glad to be of help to me.
I did as I was told and directed my mana into my arms and pushed against the door once more. The door slowly began to open followed by loud squeaky sound wish was probably caused by the rust on the door.
"I did it, I did it, did you see that? I could use mana" I celebrated like a five years old who beat his dad in a video game. I felt like I could do anything but again Isabel read my mind again and interrupted me. "it's too early to celebrate, although you can now utilize mana but you have a long way to go. You haven't created a mana core yet so you don't have any mana reserve and have a limited mana pool so I'd advise you spend less mana" she advised as smiled in amusement at my childish behaviour.
I understood what she meant as I was already feeling kind of weak and decided that the best course of action was to grow stronger and create a mana core and expand my mana pool.
We walked into the building as we looked around and just by looking at it you'd know that it's been abandoned for over ten years. "damn it, I forgot to gather food items. We'll need to go check around for the nearest shop to get some canned food and other supplies"I said to Isabella as I walked back to the door.
We both got to the shop and I started scanning through the shelves to see what I could get.
The items on the shelf were scarce and it had just been about nine hours since the outbreak begun. "These people sure do work fast" I thought to myself as I packed all I could get from the shelf.
"honey, what are these weird looking things" Isabel asked as I turned around to see what she was talking about. To be honest I was a little taken aback when I heard her call me honey but if I told her not to she was going to make a fuss for sure.
"oh that's a ..." I froze up mid-way seeing the section of the shop she went to… it was the section for female underwear. Isabel stood there holding up a bra in her hands while holding it up to her nose.
"hey drop that, that isn't what we came for" I said with a red face. Why was she asking me that, I mean doesn't she have one on right now or perhaps she is just messing with me? I looked at her chest and noticed that she actually didn't have anything on up or down.
